Anyway, here's a little preview of some sock love I have in store for Stitches. I call this the Twisted Flower Sock.
My plan is to sell whatever I have leftover from Stitches online, so you don't have to be there. But whenever all the yarn runs out, I may opt out of the retail biz, so get it while you can!
Gorgeous sock! That pattern is amazing and I especially like how the pattern is continued in the heel flap!
Posted by: Emily at February 8, 2007 9:22 AMWow! Is that a stitch pattern from a Japanese 250 stitch library book, by any chance? I've had a pattern just like that earmarked for fitting onto a sock, but I never would have come up with that heel treatment! Just, lovely.
Posted by: leila at February 8, 2007 9:24 AMI want that sock pattern! Will you sell it with yarn only? Gorgeous!!
Posted by: Chery at February 8, 2007 9:28 AMThat sock is amazing. I won't be at Stitches so I'll watch to find out where we can get the pattern.

Posted by: stacey at February 8, 2007 9:54 AMMe too! Me too! Can we have/pay for the pattern only?? I have a very uber-special occasion coming up, and I think I love these for that purpose....
Posted by: Alyson at February 8, 2007 9:59 AMCan we still buy the pattern even if you run out of yarn at Stitiches? It's beautiful! I can't wait to see what else you have. Just wish I could make it to Stitiches to see it all in person!
Posted by: Lori at February 8, 2007 10:01 AMThe pattern is wonderful! I also vote for letting use that can't go to stitches have a chance to get it!

Posted by: Rae at February 8, 2007 11:12 AMWow, that's a gorgeous sock. I am so in love with the heel on that. I'm normally a short row heel girl but with a heel like that I will so do a heel flap/gusset. Not that I wasn't going to stop by your booth at Stitches, now I have an awesome reason to!! :)

My jaw dropped when I saw these! They are incredible. I wouldn't be surprised if you sold out!
Posted by: Jodie at February 8, 2007 12:11 PMWow, these are gorgeous! It would be great if you made it a pay per download PDF on the website. It would make you have to stay in retail a bit longer, but the deman would be there!
Posted by: Jenna at February 8, 2007 12:20 PMMust have those socks. No way to get to Stitches. Would either have to swim the Pacific, or run across Canada. Going into a corner to cry now.
Posted by: bunchkin at February 8, 2007 12:31 PMmore of the same....please make the pattern available on the blog! Huge fan of your work and that pattern almost made me pee my pants with excitement!!!!
Posted by: Alice at February 8, 2007 1:08 PMI love the sock pattern. If you decide to go out of the retail business, please at least sell your sock patterns!!! I love the Twisted Flower Sock. We can always get our sock yarn from the ladies at Blue Moon and other indie dyers.

Posted by: Sheila at February 8, 2007 4:25 PMHi Cookie,
Thank you for the information about Stitches West. Unfourtunately, I will be down there this weekend not the date of the festivities. I also wanted to say that your new sock pattern is amazing (even from you)!
I am working on a pair of your BFF socks and a pair of Monkeys and I am thrilled by how well written your patterns are. I was intimidated at first because they look so fancy but they are so well written I have renewed confidence and enthusiasm for complex knitting. Thanks Again!
Courtney

Posted by: tigerlilith at February 10, 2007 9:10 AMI'm not a sock fan and I have never knit a sock in my life (although I've managed to knit half a sock, but that was before the gusset, heel, etc., guess, this doesn't really count), but this sock looks soo incredibly nice.

Mmmmmm. Socky. :) Every time I see your patterns I want to write you a little letter.
It would go somethign like this:
Dear Cookie A.,
Your sock patterns are scrumptious. When I grow up I hope I can be just like you.
Looooove,
Me. :)
I would eat that pattern if it weren't for the fact that then I couldn't knit it. :)
