Cookie made her big announcement about her and Lynn's booth at Stitches, so I thought I'd share with you one of the things I've been working on for their booth. I designed this baby sweater, which I'm calling Avery. I showed a little sneak peek of the stitch patterns in this sweater around Thanksgiving-time, but here is the finished sweater, which will be sold both as a pattern and in kits with the yarn.
Here is a detail shot of the side textured panel:
I still need to do more photoshoots, because I'm not super-pleased with how these pictures came out. I mean, you get the idea, but I would like it to be more true to color and a bit more crisp I guess (since I need to have a printed picture look nice). The yarn is Shelridge Farm W4, a superwash wool yarn -- that is nice and soft and squishy to knit with. This sample is knit in Wedgewood Blue, and the kits will also be available with the Bottle Green and Pink Lemonade colors:
I know I still have a ton of work to do before Stitches, so I can only imagine how Cookie is feeling. I think everything she has been working on is really awesome, and I'm excited to see how their booth comes together!
Confidential to Seltsame: Expect pics from Super Bowl sale soon.
ETA: There seems to be a problem with comments. I'll try to fix that as soon as I have a chance! Comments are fixed!

Posted by: jenn at February 7, 2007 1:09 PMWhat a beautiful sweater! I think it will do really well at Stitches. I only wish I could go. I shall just have to live vicariously through blogland.
Posted by: Opal at February 7, 2007 1:48 PMWay to go, both of you! It sounds exciting and exhausting. I love the sweater and also hope you it will be available online.
Posted by: Laura at February 7, 2007 6:59 PMLOVE this sweater! I want to make this for the next baby that comes along (though I think that will be mine, so it will need to wait.)
Is it sizeable up? Or only for a newborn?
Lovely designing...have a great time at Stiches you two!
The sweater is gorgeous! I'm definitely interested in knitting that for my daughter! Though it will have to wait until she's sitting up! Not quite there yet!
Posted by: AJ at February 7, 2007 8:06 PMThe stitch pattern looks great! I also really like the colors you've chosen.
I wondered if you went to the Superbowl sale. We need a picture of your loot. :)
Posted by: Abigail at February 7, 2007 9:09 PMWhat a super cute sweater! Any chance that is for your nephew?
Posted by: Q at February 7, 2007 10:26 PMThat is gorgeous! My daughters would look terrific in that pink lemonade. Must be a pleasure to work with.
Posted by: Deb at February 8, 2007 6:05 AMThat is such a cool sweater! I think my toddler monkey will be too big, but it'll be great for any of my other relatives or friends that'll have a baby.
Posted by: C. at February 8, 2007 7:47 AMHow neat. I see myself knitting it in a heather-y charcoal for my niecephew due in August. :)
