Okay, today is big announcement day that will explain why I've been so horribly blog negligent lately. My friend Lynn and I have taken the plunge and gotten ourselves a booth! We are the Bay Area Knit Co-op and will be showcasing our designs. Of course there will be yarn. It has been a LOT of work, and I've started having bad knitting related dreams and am suffering from insomnia. It's bad people. But so good.
There will be lots of new patterns that I am still feverishly working on. Several of them will be in the fashion show which I'm really excited about. Thanks so much to the sample knitters who helped me out with this. I am going to post pictures and give them each a shout out when I get all the samples in. And I am expecting a shipment of fake legs any day now.
Lynn will have beautiful lace yarns and lace shawl patterns. And we are stocking items from local bay area knitters -- lovely kits (including Sarcelle) from Kristi, handpainted fiber and handspun yarn from Margit, and stitch markers from Aija.
Oh yes, and Gene Beugler (of Frost Flowers and Leave fame) will be signing in our booth on Saturday. It's going to be fabulous!
Here's a preview of some of the yarns. A beautiful DK weight merino/silk blend. I LOVE this stuff:

Please stop on by and say hello if you make it to the market place!
Oh my goodness, that pink shade of the merino/silk is calling my name! Too bad I won't be anywhere near Stitches.
These new patterns, will they be available outside of stitches? And would one of them happen to be that adorable grey cabled v-neck top you posted awhile back? I am still eager for that pattern, and saving yarn for it!
Posted by: Crystal at February 5, 2007 1:42 PMHi,
When and where is the market? I will be in SanFransisco this upcoming weekend and would love to come. I live in Portland. Thanks!
Wow! I had no idea. Good luck and you know I'll definitely be stopping by your booth. (Save me some sock yarn) BTW, where's the yarn porn from the superbowl Sunday sale? I was counting on it...

Good luck with your booth... ahem... break a leg!
(well, if you have to break a leg, just break one of the fake ones).

Wow, idolatry was never so much fun. I was sure I could just go to Stitches and restrain myself (lmfao), but I now know resistance is futile.

Posted by: Katinka at February 6, 2007 4:06 PMHa! As if we'd possibly miss coming over to your booth to ogle. Psh. I for one will be using your booth at Stitches as my one yarn/pattern purchase until the summer is over (grumble grumble stash buster grumble grumble).
