Kristi and I had a brilliant idea. Brilliant! You see, we have too much yarn (did you think that was possible?), and we want to donate money to Tricoteuses Sans Frontières / Knitters Without Borders. So why not combine the two? This is our biggest blog destash so far, and all money from the sales will go to Doctors Without Borders. Get the latest details on the destash page.
We will be adding more stuff over the coming weeks, so keep checking.
Here, let me give you a glimpse of the offerings. This is the Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock selection:
And the Koigu:
What a great idea, unfortunately I don't need any more yarn and am starting a no buying yarm moretorium so I can't help you out in your destashing, but I'm sure there are plenty who can.
Arr, grrr! I'm trying to stop buying yarn, and here you girls go making it a good cause! I suppose, since the Stash-a-thon doesn't start until January...
Posted by: loribird at December 19, 2006 1:30 PMThat's a brilliant idea! I wish I had enough stash (and, let's face it, readership) to make such a plan possible. I guess I'll just have to dig deep into my pockets for a donation, then, and I'll leave the yarn for other people so the total donations are higher.
Posted by: G. Knerd at December 20, 2006 1:32 AMSeriously, what good kids! Now, you'll have enough room in the stash vault for some new...uhhh...Handspun! Mmmhmm. Hmmmmmmmmm.....
Posted by: Elle at December 20, 2006 11:16 AMArgh! Wish I hadn't missed out on the Koigu and Lorna's Laces. I won't say I'm hooked on socks yet, but I sure am enjoying knitting the Pomatomus socks.
Posted by: Crystal at December 20, 2006 7:07 PMI wanted to drop a note saying I finished the Monkey socks in the Claudia Hand Painted. They turned out great. I'm sure the MIL will love them. Thanks again.
