Why yes, that is a pomatomus

I am still knitting (when I'm not working on the Sarcelle pattern and spinning, of course). Now, I feel like I should warn you before you see this picture ... it looks like it is on a dead person's foot. Granted, the picture is huge so you probably noticed that far before you read this itty bitty text, if you even read it at all. I swear, there are no dead bodies in my living room. I don't know why my foot looks dead-ish, but I think that in the morning light, the only light available at the time of day in which I can take pictures, things seem to come out blue. So there you go.

I find it kind of funny to be one of the last kids on the block to make Pomatomus, seeing as Cookie designed it and all, but I was waiting for the perfect yarn. When Cookie gave me this yarn, she said "I think this would make great Pomatomi". A subtle hint, no?

Morning light is indeed bluer - as opposed to evening light, when dust and smoke and junk from the day filter the sunlight to warmer tones. Using a flash plus window light can take care of a lot of this in the morning, or you can adjust the color to add yellow.

But we know you're not dead! :o)

Hi Kristi! I haven't made one yet either. (Me: "Hi, I'm Specs, and I've never made a Potamomus." All: 'Hi, Specs!") But in my defense, I've already started my Christmas knitting. Pomatomi are very, very high on my list of things to knit after I plow through stuff for, y'know, those people who aren't me.

Hi Kristi-I just finished my first Pomatomus and was starting the second one toe up cuz someone suggested it would be more symmetrical that way. Any tips, or could you pick Cookie's brain and see if she could offer any insight? Thanks, yours looks great by the way.

I don't know, are you sure? Have you taken your own pulse lately? hahaha. No, the fact that you're knitting awesome stuff is proof that you're alive!

I have not knitted one yet but it's on my list. Maybe I need to be kicked in the pants by Cookie.

I, too, was waiting for the perfect yarn...and I found it last week! I just finished my first pattern repeat tonight. Yours look beautiful; I love the colours. (Can't wait to get my hands on your Sarcelle too)

Cookie is right - that's a great colour for Pomatomi. I've just finished my pair.

It looks great! You didn't look dead at knitting either. :)

Hey Cookie,

I had a sudden burst of knitting-ness today and began searching for knitting books online. I came across knitty.com and saw your features.

I really want to learn how to knit. Do you know of any good sites which you consider to be good knitting tutorial sites?

Thanks. :)
