I finished my first pomatomus!
And, I even started the second one ... so maybe it will be done sometime soon? I can see how making pomatomi has been addictive for some people!
I just had a disturbing thought as I sat gazing at your lovely sock.
I wonder if foot fetishists troll knitters blogs. Cuz heven knows we photograph a lot of feet...
It's a beauty! For some reason, I'm intimidated by the Pomatomus pattern. I think I need to work up to it, being a new sock knitter and all.

I've redone my first pomatomus 4 times - slow learner and terrible at following directions!
Have just finished the 2 repeats of Chart A and Ktbl of the 1st stitch on needle 1 onto needle 3. Tried dividing stitches for heel flap - half on one needle, half on the other. Working yarn coming off of needle that would have been needle 3 - directly inline with the "join" yarn from the 1st row below.
I'm used to the middle of a heel falling at the center of needles 1 & 3. Does this pattern offset the start of the heel - so "join" yarn hanging down is actually at start of heel flap?
I'm afraid the "pretty side" is going to end up in back if I have this figured out...is it the same from either side or would the front of the sock pattern be messed up if I flip it over and do heel flap on other side?
Don't try this at home? (without a lifeline!)
Beautiful job on a wonderful pattern. I feel like making another pair too!
