Cookie and I had a fun time doing a photoshoot for Sarcelle today. Cookie took over 200 pictures I think! Lucky for you, we've pared it down to just a few:
Nice, very nice. I can envision it in lotsa different colors and maybe a variegated color or two. (Pics taken on "The Farm", no?)
Posted by: Terry at July 31, 2006 6:58 AMBeautiful! I love the photos and the Sarcelle. (That's a great skirt you have on in the photos too!)
Posted by: Kellie at July 31, 2006 8:41 AMThe shawl is beautiful! Great pictures to show it off too.
Posted by: Jasmine at July 31, 2006 12:43 PMps- How's the spinning going? We should definitely get together and spin sometime, now that the temperature is within the proper range for human existence!
Posted by: Grace at July 31, 2006 2:37 PMGreat photos. I think I may be starting to fee the itch to do my first bit of lace.
Posted by: Gina at July 31, 2006 4:19 PMBeatiful! My english is rosty. I don't find another word :)
Posted by: isrik at August 2, 2006 4:42 AMI can't wait to buy the pattern!!!!!!!!!! It is so beautiful and I've been looking for the perfect lacy shawl/stole pattern for a while now and I think this is it!
Posted by: Emily at August 2, 2006 4:09 PMWell, I bought a cone of cashmere to make the shawl with, when will you have it up for sale??? You and the cashmere are in race to see who will get to me first, you selling the pattern versus 150gr of cashmere from somewhere in England.
Posted by: yarnsnob at August 2, 2006 4:49 PMI'm with Emily, though I don't know if I can muster up that many exclamation points!!! I would love the pattern so I can try it out with this hand dyed laceweight I have. Do you think it will work with a variegated color scheme?
Posted by: Laura at August 2, 2006 6:15 PMThat's very nice--I love the diagonal, very unusual in lacy stoles--a bias knit?
I look forward to getting the pattern.
Posted by: Stephy at August 3, 2006 5:32 AMThe Stanford campus police must have thought you two were nuts. Love the photos.
Posted by: Jo at August 4, 2006 4:17 PMAbsoltuely beautiful. Looks like you guys had fun with the pictures.
Posted by: Rebekah at August 7, 2006 2:07 PMThat is so pretty. I like how modern it looks, too. Most lace patterns are so old fashioned looking (which isn't bad), so it's nice to see something like your Sarcelle. I can't wait for the pattern. :)
Posted by: nat at August 13, 2006 7:13 AMI haven't been up to anything these days. So it goes. I can't be bothered with anything these days.
