I'm going to Stitches and I'm....

Gonna get ya-a-a-arn...

This keeps going through my head to the tune of "Goin' to the Chapel". I'm SO EXCITED!

Well, before I leave, let me subject you to some overdue pictures of my Turkey honeymoon from October. This is will be the first batch in a long series, and I'll begin with animals in Istanbul because they're soooooo cute. While I was scanning these in last night, I realized just how much my scanner sucks ass. I had to throw out some scans that had a horrible streak through the middle. Bleargh. Just in case you're a camera junkie, these pictures were all taken with my Nikon FE and 50mm:1.8 lens. Someday I'll find the pictures we took with the digital camera.

Here's a dog and an itty bitty little puppy we passed several times. They were just east of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

And a couple pictures of roosters. These are particularly dear to me because there was an avian flu scare in Turkey. I felt daring getting so close to these cocks.

A sleeping dog near Topkapi palace and Aya Sofia. I got another picture of one of his friends taking a poop. Heehee. Maybe I'll post it next time.

And of course, my favorite. Whenever I'm with my schmoopie, people automatically assume I'm ten years younger than I am. Can you guess why?

But anyway, off to see Gene and Lew and Gracie! I'll be at the Lacy Knitters Guild booth. If you go to Stitches, you should stop on by and ogle the amazing things some of the members have knit. They are truly spectacular.

And the Olympic knitting is going well. That Harlot's ticker isn't scaring me one bit. I've made it past the halfway mark.

ok, that sleeping dog looks a lot like my dog, Buddy. That's just uncanny! Here's a photo of Buddy (not rolling around but I swear they could be twins from your shot):
