.. and didn't feel like doing laundry, I had to whip up a quick cardigan. It's a boring stockinette stitch cardigan made with merino 6-ply from handpaintedyarn.com. I originally bought two coordinating colors to make a more interesting sweater, but apparently the two colors look awful next to each other, so I was left with barely enough for a tiny cardigan (4 balls). I haven't sewn in the buttons yet (they're around here *somewhere* I'm sure), but the knitting's all done. I even wove in the ends. Now that I think about it, maybe they sent me the wrong color. Does this look anything at all like the "deep grey" Pearl Ten colorway they have shown? I don't think so.
Next up will be some boring socks (I finally grafted the Socks that Rock). Other than boring socks, I've got secret projects #1 (80% complete) and #2 (5% complete) going on. And then I gotta knit something for the MIL for Xmas, but I haven't decided what - possibly a triangular lace shawl? Whatever it is, it's gotta be quick-ish (I'm aiming for size 6 needles for that project). But my #1 priority should be the Delphine sweater, hopefully in time for a trip to Canadia two weekends from now. We're going to the 'Peg to meet Isabella Virtue Weakerthan Flowers (a cute kitty). Woohoo!
And maybe, just maybe, one of these days K will post pictures of the Katrina Rib she finished.
Looks good! Does that mean you're actually going to wear something you knit? ;)

Posted by: carolyn at November 23, 2005 6:30 AMVery, very cute. See I knew there was a reason to not do laundry.
Posted by: Rebekah at November 23, 2005 8:27 AMgreat job on the sweater! i still like the color although it doesn't match theirs.
Posted by: lynette at November 23, 2005 8:50 AMVery hip. (haha, i say that like i'm 60 years old) The color looks most similar to the deep grey. Or you could say they made you a custom color!

Posted by: Christina at November 26, 2005 3:21 PMCongratulations on getting Pomatomus in the new Knitty! These are going on my FWIP list--I was intrigued with them when I saw them months ago. Great job! (and I like the photo layout--who owns the mannequin?)
