FOs!

That's right, plural. I've been on a sock binge lately. First up, we have the neglected socks which I managed to finish before leaving for Toronto. I love the colors of these stripes. These are a basic stockinette sock with short row heels. Regia Strato color #5738. I've decided that for certain kinds of striping socks, I prefer short row heels, and for others I like afterthought heels more. Thinner stripes -> short rows. Thicker stripes -> afterthought heel. And see how I actually got the heels and toes to match? Identical socks! Who would have thought?

Second up are the Fleece Artist socks which I also finished before leaving for Toronto. I looooooove the colors on these socks. There's just something about brown that's been appealing to me lately. I was really disappointed when I found out the Fleece Artist yarn co-op fell through. Sigh. But anyway, stats. This is the Go With The Flow sock pattern from the Summer '05 issue of Interweave Knits. This was a really fast and easy knit. I did make the mistake of reading the heel instruction as stockinette instead of slipped stitch, but I tend to like stockinette heels more anyway. If I did it over again though, I would do the lace/rib pattern for the heel instead of stockinette or slipped stitch. Sure, it would be much thicker, but I also think it would look nicer. Have I mentioned I love these socks?

And lastly, I am *almost* done with a THIRD pair of socks. Next thing you know I'll be throwing out all the store bought socks in favor of all handknit socks all the time. These are KPPPM socks in colorway 105D. I love the colors in there. And did you notice those toenails? Heehee. My French pedicure for the wedding (not that anyone could see my feet) is still going strong.
