Triumphant Return!

It's been a rough couple of weeks, workwise, so not a lot of knitting has been done. But I am extremely pleased to announce that I finished a project, and it is currently blocking.

Here it is(!):

That's right, I finally finished the doily. I am so excited! Even the dh is excited, because he claims it's his favorite thing I've ever knitted. By the way, please ignore the badness of my blocking job there. More pins have since been added.

And a bonus happy shot for a close-up of the pattern:

So there she is, all 87 rounds of size 0 needles with crochet cotton. Phew. I'm glad it's done, but I think I'll miss it. But this just means I get to start a new project!

For completeness's sake, I should tell you what this pattern is. I found it free online, and there were no problems with this pattern at all, I'm happy to report, other than the poor picture.

I've learned a lot about lace knitting from this little project, and am looking forwards to lots more lace knitting in the future.

Yeah, I just finished my first project, nothing as complex as yours, but still interesting. Great job!

Wow - that is amazing knitting - how did you keep your eyesight! Well done - it's a real heirloom.

Hey Kristi, email me! I was hoping to go to the handweaving place this week. Tomorrow, perhaps?
