Knit news

I got the winter edition of Interweave Knits in the mail yesterday. I like Te Rosada (I think K would like this as well), both sock patterns, the fair isle sampler hat, and the airy cardigan. Not sure I'll make these any time soon, but I still think IK is worth it. I like the articles and knitting news more than the patterns.

I went to the knitting meetup last week at Borders and bought the Holiday edition of Vogue Knitting. What really interested me was the article on the British Invasion where they showed several pictures of knitwear designed by Delphine Wilson. Her stuff is GORGEOUS. You can check out her website, but unfortunately she sells knit goods and not knitting patterns. I especially like her Autumn Winter 2000/1 collection.

KnitFest 2004 is in Toledo, and I'm going! I've already signed up for two classes and one workshop. I'm really excited about it. I wanted to take the crocheted steeks class, but unfortunately that was full, so I'm taking the "Converting Stitch Patterns from Flat to Round" workshop instead. The classes I signed up for are "Say goodbye to your cable needle" and "Knitting Estonian lace". Each class is three hours long, and the workshop is one hour. All three were $25 total! And entrance to the marketplace is free. This is going to be FABULOUS. I'm so excited about the Estonian lace class.

Also, this is hilarious. It's a gangsta knitting video. Heehee.

You got a great deal for your classes. I hope you have a great time. I saw the gansta video and it's it hilarious.
