I've made progress on the green sweater. Here's a picture of the outside and a closeup of the weaving on the inside. You'll notice that the first row of color knitting on the inside has floats, or strands that dangle. After that I switched to a an attempt at weaving, so the strands are "woven in" while knitting. I think it looks right, but I'm not sure. If anybody knows about this weaving thing, I could definitely take some pointers.
I'm also thinking about doing some reconstructive surgery and turning it into a cardigan instead of a split neck top because the place where I started adding steek stitches for the split neck is far too low. Either that or this is turning into a hoodie, but I'm at a loss of what to do with the color pattern on the hood if I do that. Any suggestions? Maybe some speckled dots around the hood? I'm running pretty low on the contrasting colors...
Wow, that reverse side looks gorgeous! If you do turn it into a hoodie, maybe just make the hood the solid color and do a little ribbing around the edge in a contrast color? Or if you're really low on colors, do the ribbing in squares of solid then contrast, to match the yoke.
