Renegade Craft Fair, etc

Yesterday I went to the Renegade Craft Fair with some fellow Stitch n Bitchers. Believe it or not, it was my first craft fair experience, and I thought it was pretty neat. I didn't actually buy much, but I liked looking around at all the stuff and am now inspired to stop by a craft store when I can. I want to try dabbling in stationery, since I've gotta send stuff to my secret pal and a belated birthday present for a friend.

Goodies from the craft fair:

The dress is a little big, so I plan on wearing a huge white belt (Has anybody heard the song "White Belts" by the Make-Up? I love that song!!!) of some sort with it. In the picture I've got a scarf wrapped around my waist. The t-shirt I know I could have made and overpayed for it, but I loved the print. They're my colors! I hope K approves.

Afterwards we went to one of their homes and OH MY GOODNESS! She is a crafting goddess!!! She's got an Ultimate Sweater Machine which I got to see in action. She also has a spinning wheel, a huge yarn stash, several sewing machines, paints, a couple SCA dresses, and all sorts of other goodies, even a leather puncher. And a very purty Siamese cat and an adorable dog who looks really really cute in the fitted sweater she made him. Really cute.

Also, I ordered a swift from Joann's. They have a promotion that gives 50% any one item right now, so I think it was a pretty good deal. Woohoo!

It was so much fun meeting you. I hope the next time you're downtown (Tuesday or not), let us know. We can get together.
