I should be sleeping, but...

I decided I needed a portable knitting project. Everything else I've been working on is HUGE and using coned yarns which are a pain in the ass to lug around. So, I pulled out the bag of Cascade Lana D'oro in lichen (now sold out!) that I snagged from the massive WEBS sale, and I'm in the process of making a very simple raglan top. I wasn't sure I'd have enough for a sweater with any cabling or anything fancy, so it's going to be plain. I'm really loving the color and silky softness of the yarn. Mmmm, alpaca. If the Lana D'oro Tweed goes on sale, I'm definitely buying more!

Anyway, I'm now four inches into it, but I'm visiting my parents, so no picture update. What I do have is this:

That's a picture of two of the Fantacia yarn balls I got from a thrift store. There are ten in all, and there are labels that have fallen off with age (you can tell the adhesive that was holding the label on finally gave and is discolored). I uploaded those earlier when my post got deleted, and I was too frustrated to type it up again. I don't know what to do with it. Any ideas? I have ten balls. No idea about yardage. Maybe I should swatch it.

Also, K and I have responded to a plea for knitters. We'll be working on that while I'm in Cali. I think it'll make excellent near-instant gratification knitting.
