Just finished the left wrist warmer. It's actually a pale pink, but the picture kinda sucks.
Ok, so it has issues. First, it's a little too small. When I was figuring out the gauge, I didn't realize that the cable would be less wide than normal six stitches, but now I know. Also, the thumb is a little misaligned. It should be rotated one stitch counter-clockwise (yes, that one stitch makes a difference). And right before I got to the ribbing at the knuckles, I realized I needed to increase or decrease two stitches to get the ribbing right, and I moronically decided to decrease. On the right one, I will increase, even at the expense of having asymmetrical wrist warmers. I will also rotate the thumb to be more aligned.
So, if I were to do this over, I would knit more loosely or use my size 10.5's instead of the 9's. Also, I think I would keep the cable throughout for a rib/cable combo instead of going to pure rib.
cabled wrist warmer caught my eye. "stunning" came to mind. I was looking for an idea for a gift for my daughter. This is my first attempt at "comment."
