So I went to Trader Joe's last weekend and got all things ginger: Ginger altoids, ginger gummies (already gone!), and their triple ginger snaps. Mmmmmm.
Knitting update! So I haven't finished anything, but I've started something new: my first project involving knitting cables (I started crocheting a sweater that involved cables a really long time ago and never finished). I'm making something loosely based on this pattern, except I'm modifying it a lot. I'm using thicker yarn with size 6 and size 9 needles, so I've had to change the gauge. And I decided to do a regular six stitch cable instead of the horseshoe cable because the horseshoe cable takes eight stitches (I suppose I could do it in four, but that wouldn't be as pretty), and that won't fit. Also, I don't want them to cover my elbows, so I'm shortening them. I'm about three inches into the left one, but things are getting a little faster, I hope.
Future projects I've sort of committed to:
1) Wrist warmers for K!
2) Leg warmers for T.
3) Hat for L.
4) Scarf for mom.
I'm making these fingerless gloves for myself first because I want to get an idea of how to do them before I start making crazy modifications like multicolored patterns. (Spelling out things like 'MATH' or 'KNIT POWER!')
Hm, I should take an inventory of my knitting supplies at some point.
