I'm feeling green and blue...

But in a good way, not in a sad newbie sort of way. You see, I've received some samples in the mail from wonderful bloggers. Every time I got one in the mail, I was so tickled. Thank you, sample knitters!

First up, we have Hedera knit by the lovely Isela. I wanted some samples of the Knitty patterns in the yarns I will have at Stitches, so this is knit in Louet Gems fingering weight Fern Green color. (FYI, the Twisted Flower sock was knit in the same yarn, but the Shamrock color.) Isn't it lovely?

Hedera

Next up we have Pomatomus knit by the always wonderful Kirsten of Through The Loops! This is to give an idea of how the handpainted yarns will work up, even though I will not have this particular color.

Here's a closer look at the most recently dyed yarns.

And here are some more that are still wet. I was just so excited I wanted to photograph them right away!

Are you feeling the blue/green theme with me yet? I might have gone a bit overboard with it, but who cares because this is my favorite color, and I'm setting some aside for myself.

And then to counter the blue/greenness of it all, here's some vivid reds:

Just wait until tomorrow when you see what else I got in the mail!

Did you dye those yarns? They are gorgeous! It looks like you'll have quite the spread at Stitches...

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

I don't know how I missed your February 8th entry, but the Twisted Flower sock is absolutely fabulous. I adore traveling / twisted stitches! Titania is another Must Knit; the cable across the foot is what makes it for me. Very unusual, in a really good way.

I'm jealous of the folks at Stitches who get first dibs on the yarn -- the colors are wonderful.

Green and blue are my favourite colours too! You have got me drooling all over my poor keyboard. I am so saddened by the fact that I will be unable to attend Stitches.

The handpainted yarns are absolutely yummy. Did you dye those yarns or did someone else? Who ever dyed them, did a wonderful job. I'd have a problem picking just one. :)

Wow, Cookie, you're on a roll! All those greens and blues are lovely -- but then the reds are a great surprise, too. Good luck at Stitches! I know you'll have an audience eager to take anything unsold off your hands afterward.

Did you say test knitter? Need another one? I love the Hedera pattern and the vivit red dyed yarn. Yummy.

wow, that leg makes the sock look much better than mine did, hehehehe :). Wishing you much success at Stitches ;)

Ditto on the test knitting! And, YUM!

Oh man! Those socks are beautiful, especially in those colors. I love Pomatomus in the blue. I think it's pretty much required that it be blue like that. And those yarns are stunning! Yum!

Oh, those colors are so wonderful! Not only are you an amazing designer, you are also a very talented colorist! The yarn was a dream to knit with too. So soft and lovely!

Is the handpainted yarn's base the Gems? I can't wait until these are available to us online! You're such a tease to show them to us when we can't buy them . . . =)

gorgeous!! are you prepared to be swamped @ Stitches, cuz I think you may be (no, I won't be there). And no, I really can't wait for tomorrow to see more :) Hope you and Kristi do really well at Stitches - your peeks are gorgeous!

I love your socks! I just finished a pair of baudelaire's in knitpicks essentials navy blue, and cast right on for another pair in Louet's dk weight in cherry. In all the years that I have been knitting I have never knit the same thing twice, ever. That's how much I enjoyed knitting this pattern. I just wanted to let you know, and I'll be reading this page regularly. Thanks for the beautiful work!

Oh my goodness....ahhh sooo pretty. I love the blues and greens. You are such a tease. I'm so jealous of all the people who get to fondle your goodies at Stitches. :(
