It is Friday still, at least here, so it's time for some pictures of yarn.
Ok, I know, I know. I've mentioned that I like Lorna's Laces before. And you may recall that I really loved the Camo colorway?
I also may have mentioned that I bought some Lorna's Laces at the Purlescence Yarns post-Thanksgiving sale. One of those yarns was the Mixed Berries that I used for the Monkey socks. Well, I also purchased some in the Vera colorway. The thing about this colorway is that last year at Stitches I almost bought it, and had been regretting not buying it ever since. Cookie started to join me in that regret until we were just a big ball of Vera-loving-knitters with no Vera. So I bought 2 hanks for me and 2 for Cookie.
This stuff may be even better than Camo:

Posted by: Allegra at January 6, 2007 12:15 AMoh. yeah. love those colors! i was never into it before but suddenly this year i have this rose garden color craving. drool.
Posted by: al at January 6, 2007 12:34 AMI ordered a skein of Vera recently for another hat.
Posted by: moirae/Steph at January 6, 2007 2:19 AMI finally knitted some socks out of Vera at the end of this past summer. Though I ususally don't care for superwash wool, these stand as one of my favorite pairs. Vera is also one of my favorite colorways. Good choice!
Posted by: Frances Goodman at January 6, 2007 2:44 AMI knit my Clapotis out of Vera Lion and Lamb. I dare say it's one of the girliest coloured clothing items I own.
Posted by: Mel at January 6, 2007 4:49 AMI love Vera. I made a pair of socks out of some Shepherd Sport and I wear them all the time. The colors are gorgeous.
Posted by: Sarah at January 6, 2007 6:50 AMI love Vera. I made a pair of socks out of some Shepherd Sport and I wear them all the time. The colors are gorgeous.
Posted by: Sarah at January 6, 2007 6:50 AMMmm. Love that color! I've been hoarding two skeins of it myself!
Posted by: Julia at January 6, 2007 10:04 AMWow! That yarn is gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing. I am going to have to get some later down the road!
Posted by: jupiterjessica at January 6, 2007 10:32 AMOMG.... i've always coveted that colorway! i can't wait to see it knitted up!!!
Posted by: eca at January 6, 2007 10:51 AMThat is a really pretty mix. Browns & pinks can work well together, or look like some horrid Barbie thing. It's wonderful to see the best example of the good stuff!
Posted by: Jo at January 6, 2007 11:35 AMI made a pair of socks in the Vera colorway and loved the way the yarn played with the stitch pattern I used called pebble, it was really cool.

Another Vera colorway lover checking in! Yep, that colorway has the right tones and mix of colors. I've got some of the sock yarn, but craving it in another LL yarn. Hmm, I think I've got to wind it now...
Posted by: Terry at January 6, 2007 12:47 PMI used Vera to make Jaywalkers. Love them, love the yarn. In fact I just placed an order for more LL today!
Posted by: Mo at January 6, 2007 2:52 PMOh no. I passed up some Vera when *my* yarn store was having a sale. Does this mean I'll obsess about it for the next year too?
Crap.
Posted by: G. Knerd at January 6, 2007 7:53 PMPretty! I've been on a weird pink streak lately. Weird because I don't especially like pink but I look good in it so I guess that's reason enough to buy it.
Posted by: freecia at January 6, 2007 8:48 PMI too love the Vera colorway. I made a pair of Jaywalkers from mine. It's got such a wonderful rich mix of colors.
Posted by: Kirsten at January 7, 2007 6:17 AMmmm, good stuff. I think I favor it over the Mixed Berries...so pretty that Vera colorway! I bought Rooster Rock yesterday. Lemming.
Posted by: Juls at January 7, 2007 12:16 PMwhat a beautiful color - it's been on my "keep looking at" list. One of these days I'll just give in and get it. i'm just scared of how it will pool.....
Posted by: stacey at January 8, 2007 8:36 AMI too LOVE Lorna's laces, and LOVE the camoflauge colorway. I've made 3 pairs out of it this year! My question is, do you find that lorna's laces fades? I've had a lot of problems with that, especially with the cammo, and was wondering if I just got a bad dye lot. Beautiful yarn!
Posted by: ksfishgirl at January 8, 2007 1:04 PMHi Kristi - you asked about a picture of the JayWalkers. Here it is, my very first flickr upload.
