In other random news, Kristi and I went over to Purlescence a couple times over the weekend (yeah, I think we're averaging about 2.5 visits per week) and heckled some people into buying yarn. Outside, we saw a car with the license plate LACEMKR. So of course, as soon as we got in the store I asked "Ok, who's got the license plate LACEMKR?" thinking it would be Nathania, Chloe or Sandy. Not so! It belonged to Laurie, the membership chair of the IOLI, who apparently had moved to Sunnyvale recently. I thought that was fun.
I will be doing a lot of travelling. First up in mid-November will be Toronto, the City of Knitterly Pleasure and Sin. Can NOT wait! I'm intentionally flying there a couple days before the DH, so I can make it to Wednesday Knit Night at Lettuce Knit. Woohoo!

My sock knitting efforts haven't really paid off, so far, but knitters like you remind me not to abandon my efforts yet. Oh, and I saw a "YARN" license plate in Santa Cruz recently. I stopped driving in the middle of a parking lot to fish out my camera and take a picture.
