I had this brilliant idea that I would wash all my socks and let them dry over the weekend, and take pictures of them for Socktoberfest. Unfortunately, I left them out to dry on the balcony, and it rained this weekend, so they are all wet and gross. I also hoped I would get a picture of the current sock at the top of Half Dome, but unfortunately that didn't happen either despite carrying the sock all the way up there.
So instead to kick off Socktoberfest, I present to you a bottle of Trappistes Rochefort 8 and an unfinished sock knit from KPPPM. This beer is brewed by monks. How awesome is that? The goal here is drunken socks all month long.
I will finish this pair of socks this month.
Oh yes, and because I'm a follower, I got these shirts from Threadless off sockpr0n's recommendation. They are awesome! I wore the sheep shirt to Yosemite and was grinning the whole way there.
Warning: the post below is non-knitting.
That shirt is too cute!
It rained at your house? It didn't rain here. Niels wore his rain jacket and boots anyway, just in case.

Posted by: stacey at October 3, 2006 7:14 AMummm, you realized I just went a bought three three t-shirts, right? An influence both good and bad - that's so you!
Posted by: Jody at October 3, 2006 7:25 AMYay for drunken socks!! I like that idea! Maybe I'll steal it!
Oh & threadless is the best! I think all the knitters out there gobbled those shirts up! :)

Posted by: Lolly at October 3, 2006 6:49 PMI've decided you're a genius, yup. I'm currently knitting two of your designs, Pomamtomus which I'd had my eye on since it appeared in Knitty but hadn't found the right yarn; and Titania's Revenge. I accidentally started knitting Pomamtomus in Blue Moon Seduction but it was a happy accident. It flows like water. Thanks for being a genius and publishing your stuff.
