I made it! Turns out that my handy little 4 oz = 100 g thought is not exactly right. 4 oz = 113 g, and luckily the lovely folks at Cherry Tree Hill weigh in ounces, not grams! And it looks like at least in this skein, generosity was key ... it's about 120 g total. Whew! I'm so glad, because I love these socks. They are a bit dense with the cables, but they sure are comfortable!

so very pretty and I was on tenderhooks as to whether you'll make it, but thats because I hadnt' realised you were using CTH. If I had known that I would had told you that the probably had enough.
Posted by: polly at September 25, 2006 11:15 AMYay! And they look great. What would knitting be without a little suspense?
Posted by: Janice at September 25, 2006 11:26 AMThey are gorgeous! The cables and the color-beautiful.
Posted by: Isela at September 25, 2006 11:29 AMIf you do the calculations, 100 grams = 3.75 oz. So 4 oz is a generous skein :)
Posted by: Miriam at September 25, 2006 11:41 AMWoo Hoo! Congratulations on winning your race against yarn length.
The socks are very pretty and the cables look great.

Posted by: Debi Leshin at September 26, 2006 6:52 AMYou made it! Woot woot! And I still love that colorway.
Posted by: Cookie at September 26, 2006 8:48 AMWow! Those socks are beatifu; the colorway and pattern complement each other perfectly!
Posted by: Lazuli at September 27, 2006 6:13 AMYay!! These look great, way to score on the "extra" yardage :) Also, can you tell me if your Saracelle has the "purl every other row" type of pattern? I just bought some Sea Silk and think it would be great with your pattern, but am nervous about taking on something with all unique rows...
