What do you do when your co-blogger does crazy things like show a $1500 sweater and a big ol' pile of yarn? Not that I don't love seeing the pictures (and the actual objects) myself, but it does cause a bit of a problem as far as what to blog about oneself, you know?
Personally, I am able to distract myself by looking at the beautiful Sarcelles that are popping up all over. It just warms my heart to see people knitting my pattern!
Then, I distract myself by spinning. Spinning! I plied and skeined and washed a hank of sock yarn, and even start knitting. I started using Cable Net from Knitty. I love this pattern, but I'm still not sure if that's what this yarn wants to be. It may want to be something that I make up.
But then again, there will always be more yarn. I started spinning up some of the Corriedale I got from Carolina Homespun at Stitches. Love it. Love it!
It's brown and blue mostly. Actually, it's similar colors to my Ripple and Weave socks ...
Let's see, what else? I think I'll save a few things for another blog post. I'm not sure how often Cookie will be updating from Chicago ... and who knows what else she might find to post about?
The blue in the Corriedale just shines off the bobbin! :)
