I wasn't going to post today, but how could I not after getting a package filled with this:
How is that for yarn pr0n?
Clockwise from lavender/orange one at top (all are Socks That Rock Lightweight unless otherwise noted): Highway 30, Titania, Covelite, Cracked Canyon, Scaponia, Fred Flintstone, Spot Rock One, Jail House Rock, Purple Rain, Prove It All Night, Thistle, Midsummer Night, Carbon Dating, Waterlilies (Seduction - Merino/Tencel blend)
I actually got Titania yesterday in my Sock Club Kit. The packaging and layout was so beautiful I wanted to cry. Ok gals, I'm off to Chicago tomorrow. I hope I get some knitting in!
Now, that just isn't right to do to a person!! :)
So nice, and I'm digging your "original" sized images right about now, too... tg for flickr.
Posted by: Aija at September 19, 2006 3:11 PMDamn! Pile those in a bookcase and you'll rival Farmhouse Knits. Be still my heart.
Posted by: Janice at September 19, 2006 3:20 PMKinda looks like a sock yarn flower or sun with the skeins laying out that way. I'm drooling over here! ;)
Posted by: CJ at September 19, 2006 3:25 PMNow I know why the name of the blog is knitter's anonymous. Cookie, that's not yarn porn, that's yarn crack! You are right though, I wish they'd reproduce. It's only the cruddy stuff in my stash that seems to reproduce - you can tell it's reproducing when you have intertangled skeins.
Posted by: stephania at September 19, 2006 3:36 PMHave a nice trip to CHI - you're leaving us all like this? Drooling over yarn? Gee, wanna give some up? Naw, how about hurrying back and doing some sock magic w. them? Love the pic!
Posted by: Terry at September 19, 2006 3:49 PM(me again) I have to say a big thanks for telling us exactly! which color is which - so we can go over to the BMFA site and order. I'm trying to make the pic bigger - forget about dinner....
Posted by: Terry at September 19, 2006 3:54 PMI think all the drool just shorted out my keyboard. Wow.
Have a safe trip!
Posted by: Sarah at September 19, 2006 4:02 PMOMG is right! I'm green with envy. Lucky you! Don't you just love your mailman?
Posted by: Leslie at September 19, 2006 4:31 PMPr0n indeed. Has me reaching for my wallet with a stupified look on my face. So. Pretty. Sweet. Jesus. Must. Touch.
Thanks for sharing. This picture should last me a few more hits of sock yarn window shopping before my resistance is worn to nothing.
Oh God! *drools* Better lock up your stash at night. It looks enticing.
Posted by: seltsame at September 19, 2006 5:14 PMWow! that's a lot of yarn. How are you gonna choose which one to start with?
Posted by: Kelly at September 20, 2006 9:10 AMGosh, that is all so beautiful! I especially love the Titania and Cracked Canyon. Nice new look on the site, btw.
I am volunteering even more strongly to be a test knitter for the cabled vest thingy. I think I actually have yarn I could use for it now! Depending on how much it would take. I don't know about poofy sleeves on me, though.
Posted by: Crystal at September 20, 2006 9:31 AMForget knitting them - I would just bathe in them.
Posted by: Kate A. at September 20, 2006 11:08 AMBy the way, I love the new web design. Those pictures you have of the garments that you two designed are beautifully laid out.
Posted by: stephania/steph at September 20, 2006 2:18 PMMy first reaction was "oooooooh, I need that." Lucky, lucky knitter!
I will be dreaming of your abundant and lovely yarn!
It just about moves me to tears, the beauty of it.
Wow!! One question, do you know how I can get a hold of some Seduction? I saw it once at Stitches and have never found it again at any retailer or etailer. Gack!! Still kicking myself for not buying it at Stitches!!
