The Pomatomi are breeding

I must be so out of the loop. I didn't know about the Pomatomus KAL until Sunday. The little button is so cute!

And, another reason to love the Germans, look what Vera at Finger und Faden started: A Pomatomus Challenge for Germans! She even has a link to a translation of the pattern there. Isn't that awesome?

You may have noticed I changed the link to Pomatomus on the left nav bar. I compiled a page with extra info like full sized charts, extra pictures, and a list of all the finished Pomatomi I managed to find. If I'm missing any, let me know!

Oh yeah, did I mention that I'm moving? RIGHT NOW? I'm crossing my fingers hoping it all goes well. I have so much stuff to do before I leave for weddingnumberthree on Monday.

And for those of you interested in the Dye-o-rama, Scout is working on setting up a registration page, so stay tuned for that. We'll take anybody--international, newbies, weirdos, obsessed knitting freaks, but there might be a cutoff limit on number of participants. I'm thinking of doing some sort of local group dyeing effort. Yay!

I have plans to knit The Pom so I might just join the knit-along. Good luck on the MOVE!

Good luck with moving. At first I was thinking YOU were getting married for a third time. Clearly, I've not had enough coffee.

There is a brief break in the weather today ... blue sky! Wish you are moving today ... make use of the rare good weather! And wish everything goes well ... all the yarns stay dry!

I am about to close the toes on a pair of Poms that I made for my sister (out of Baby Cashmere from Elann, yumm). Great pattern! Everyone that sees them thinks they are absolutely gorgeous. I'm about to embark on your Hedera. I teach sock knitting (on two circs) at my LYS, so I'm always on the lookout for great sock patterns. Thanks for what you do.

I've got a pair of Red Pomi done. (Used a direct link as my URL.)

Good luck with the move!

Oh, and I love your new Hedera pattern!

Pomatomus IS a lovely pattern you came up with. I have a finished pair also. Although I changed the heel as they are for my Sockapaloooza pal and she has rather narrow feet.
A picture is found here (sorry not so good)

Best wishes from Germany

Here's my pair of Pomotamus:

They were the ones I showed you at Bobaknit a while back. I like the way the stitches "pop-out", just the way fish scales must. I love wearing them!

I love the Pomatomus pattern. I am currently making my second pair. I also love the Hedera, when the new Knitty was out, I immidiatly started a pair. The pattern was very easy to knit and very beatiful. I am sure I am going to knit at least another pair. Can't wait to try new sock patterns made by you.
Thank you!
