Superbowl madness

Hollis is having a CRAZY sale at her store today. During the halftime show, all yarns will be 50% off. She has rules on her blog, and they are are insane. Buyers are limited to what they can carry in their owns hands--no bags. And we'll only have the actual halftime show time to grab yarn. Everybody will have to leave the store before the show starts and make a mad rush once it starts. This is going to be like one of those shopping spree TV game shows, but with yarn! I love it! I'm really worried about the state of her yarn store after the sale.

Not only are K and I sick enough to go to this sale (even though we definitely do not need more yarn), but we even went over yesterday to scope out the yarns and make a game plan. I've got a list to bring to make sure I grab all the stuff I want. I've even taken into account the location of the items in the store and the popularity of the various yarns in order to optimize my path. I hope there are no fights over yarn!

I wonder how much I can hold in my hands. Maybe I should practice?

[What is going on with my publishing? Argh!]

OMG, I'm laughing out loud here. I hope someone gets some video of the sale. Should be a good one.

How about wearing a big shirt and carrying the yarn in front of it? You know, like a sling? You're not using a bag or basket--in my mind you're not in violation of Rule #2.

Good luck to you and K!

Guess what I found upstairs? Now you just have to find it in time ;)...

Hollis thought of the T-shirt/shawl scenario and we decided that it wasn't against the rules, so it is fair game. Come to think of it, if you have a really wide brim hat, you could Carmen Miranda the yarn. Finally that birthday at Chevy's pays off.

That is brilliant! I love it! Too bad there wasn't a video camera to show the mad dash!
