J and I went to see Underworld Evolution last night. There was a little bit more blood and a little less plot than I expected, but all in all good vampire fun. J hated it of course. He kept checking the time on the phone. When we left, I reminded him that he *never* likes vampire movies, and I'm not sure why he bothered with this one.
So here's some knitting. After spending all day yesterday waiting for the phone guy to come, I'm almost done with the monkey sweater. Just gotta do the collar, weave in the ends, and stitch on the face and tail and limbs. I'm guessing this will be procrastinated for at least a month.
I also worked on the D2 sweater. I'm trying to take it slow on this sweater. Here's the bottom of the first sleeve.
And the cuff for the second sleeve:
Can you spot the grafting?
Hi Cookie,
This is Crystal from the KAL. Hope you don't mind my barging in on your personal blog, but your sleeve is looking so beautiful! I like the monkey, too.
Posted by: Crystal at January 24, 2006 2:59 PMWe went on Sunday. I liked it as much as the first, which was okay). But why did her outfit keep on changing from latex to pvc? And WTF was up with the ZIPPER in the corset! What a letdown *sigh*
Posted by: Shannon at January 24, 2006 3:28 PMI love the color of Delphine, and no I can't see the grafting. It's a super cute sleeve.
Posted by: Rebekah at January 25, 2006 11:58 AMNo evidence of grafting to these eyes! It looks fabulous.
Posted by: Gina at January 25, 2006 1:34 PMI just realized you are the one who designed the Pomatomus socks on Knitty.com. I love them! I'd never even thought of a reason to knit socks, but now I feel like I have to make that pair. :-)
Posted by: Crystal at January 26, 2006 9:40 AMJust wanted to say bravo on your knitting accomplishments. I came here from knitty.com in appreciation of the artwork you used to show off your socks, bravo! Also cheers to your personal style.
Posted by: Mary at January 26, 2006 7:05 PMGreat sleeve- there's grafting? I just saw Underworld II the other night and liked it too- but not as much as the first. And why would you even bother with the corset? especially a zippered one. Am just about to finish watching VanHelsing- much more camp, less believable CG, but a good vampire/werewolf romp is so much fun.
