The end of the unknitting.

Late last night, I finished all the unknitting that had to be done on the London Pride. The hubby wanted to watch 24 while I was in the middle of it, and I had to say NO!!!!! There's no way I could have paid enough attention to 24 AND worked with that lace monster. Instead I forced him to watch Law and Order reruns. The unknitting took a long time, but I did take a break in between. There's only so much unknitting you can do without feeling the need to make visible progress on *something*.

So here's what I worked on. Wait, before I show this, you must prepare yourself. This sweater is supposed to be absurd. I know it is. And yes, it is for *me*. Somehow I said I would finish it in time for Stitches West this year and wear it. If I just knew some children to subject this to instead.... (who don't have wool allergic mommies)

Are you ready?

I had already knit the body portion a while ago. The sleeve had to be redone. So as you can see, there's a line where all the knitting below looks really crappy. That's not my knitting, I swear. It's because I reknit the previously knit yarn which was kinked.

I'm not really aiming to finish this in time for Stitches West though, because instead I have signed up for the Yarn Harlot's Knitting Olympics. This is such a brilliant idea. I want to knit something lacy, since Stitches West is smack in the middle of it, and Kristi and I will be at the Lacy Knitters booth. With Gene and Lew! We love Gene and Lew!

Oh yes, and as a treat for myself after finishing all that unknitting, I let myself officially cast on for the D2. I was really tired, so I have a partial armband done.
