Remember that Kochoran Cardi?

I was working on it during the move earlier this year, and it was looking pretty promising. In fact, this is where I'd left it:

Well, I've been getting comments about it, so I think it's time to dig that baby up and finish it. Why didn't I finish it before? The picture looks good, but there are problems you see. First, notice how I'm holding the cardi closed in the picture? Well, I'm also holding it down. Otherwise, it's too short. And the back? Well... There was insufficient ribbing at the bottom, so the back was curling out. Also, I didn't put in any shaping, so I thought the bottom was far too wide. And underneath the arms there is excessive flappy material.

The fix? The shortness problem was really too bad. The middle rib section is done all as one piece, and I didn't want to redo it. So instead I came up with this:

I added ribbing to the bottom. It solves the length and back problems in one fell swoop. What's left is to finish the left sleeve's ribbing and weave in the ends. And here is a question for you: Should I put a button where I am holding the sides together in the last picture, or should I leave it alone?

And lest you think I've scrapped the Delphine Wannabe because of some mistake I'm covering up, I'll have you know that's not the case. I just got motivated on this thing, and I had misplaced the needles I was using for the Delph. The Delph is definitely high priority after the Kochoran Cardi.

I like the cardigan and the new ribbing on the bottom looks good. You could use a broach of some sort and then you could change where you fastened it. Though I have no idea where you would find a broach.

I really like the ribbing you added to make it longer. And I agree with Jody that a broach would be a great way to adjust where you close it and you could change the broach out depending on your mood that day.

I like higher up, but I'm thinking a brooch is a really good idea!
