Not knitting just shouldn't mean that I don't blog.
I mean, I do many knitting-relating things that aren't actually knitting. I've been known to buy yarn (though I'm cut off until I can knit again, which is reasonable), trade yarn, read knitting books, and even go and *gasp* watch others knit. Oh, and read everyone's knitblogs too.
Let's look at these things in more detail, one at a time.
1) Buying yarn. Ok, I can't take pictures, because it is absurd. Absurd! But I bought more Patons Kroy on sale from Herrschnerr's. I'm feeling sort of like Lynette with the Cotton-Ease. I have now purchased something like 28 balls and C even got me more sock yarn (Regia) as a graduation present. It's all meant for colorwork. That's the plan. Anyway, there's a lot. And I love it all, so it's fine. And it's on sale again, but somehow I'm having no trouble resisting this time. Go to it, folks.
Also, I bought some Cotton Glace from GirlReaction's stash sale. I have a pic of something like it ... 4 ply cotton in a similar color below.
2) Trading yarn. Stash Swap at our meet-up that C mentioned. Here's what I got:
1 skein Lamb's Pride in a light blue
2 skeins microspun in periwinkle
9 little balls of crochet cotton for doilies (woot!)
3 skeins of Wildfoote, 1 skein each of red, green, and blue
1 skein of Swizzle sock yarn (But that was from C, does that count?)
4 skeins of this Cotton Fleece
2 skeins of Rowan 4-ply cotton. The cotton glace I talked about above is in a similar color to the blue.
Ok, must stop typing. It hurts my wrist. I'll continue later.
I'm so sad that your wrist still hurts after all this time. Probably not as sad as you are, of course.
What a bummer of a comment this is, eh?

Posted by: Christina at July 16, 2005 6:13 PMHey, that's my Rowan cotton you've got! I think most of the stuff I picked up at the swap was Christina's. So fun to have fresh yarn to dream about!
