Since I am almost done with my stole (only 2 more repeats and then the border!), I am gearing up for my next foray into new knitting. My plan is to use this yarn:
Go ahead, click on it, or you won't see that there are actually 4 balls of yarn there; that dark brown is hard to see in the poor lighting this weather is yielding.
Anyway, I'm planning on using this yarn for either some Fair Isle fingerless gloves or some Latvian mittens. Or both? I'm thinking I'll start small with the Fair Isle fingerless gloves, and then work my way up to the Latvian mittens. I'm excited.
Also, I should finish up those socks. Which socks? All of them. The Blueberry Hill ones, the Inca wool ones, and the stripey denimy ones. I'll post pics when I have emerged victorious from my C-like sockpile.
I like Regia, too. Mind you, I've never finished anything with it, so I don't know how it wears. But it's cool to work with. Good luck!
Posted by: Laura at March 20, 2005 8:29 AMHey Kristi, I counted my skeins (10) and took the shawl off the needles to bring to you today and then I forgot it at home. Of course, you weren't there anyway. :)
If you want to get together sometime and make the exchange, let me know. We could even still check out that handweaving place! Email me when you get a chance. :)

Posted by: Georgia at March 28, 2005 9:07 PMFair Isle mittens- I am impressed. I have never knitted mittens, especially fair isle ones. I can't wait until you post them.
