Hudson

Yack. I've tried posting twice already, and my flaky internet connection has resulted in post lost. Dammit. So what was previously a longer post can be summed up as thus:

I am working on the stole again. I was really worried, but I'm getting much better at it. I will post a picture of it next time. Moving has been very distracting with apartment hunting, car shopping, waiting for stuff to arrive (on the 25th), flaky internet connection, etc. For now I have a picture of Hudson from Jane Ellison's Noro Knits which I am working on.

I've modified the sleeves so that they aren't ribbed all the way up. I've also custom fit the length and added thumbholes, so that the ends are like fingerless mittens. Or I can fold up the cuffs. At first I wasn't sure about the colors in the yarn, but the more I knit with it, the more I like it. It is Big Kureyon. I forget what color number. 1 or 2, I think.

Oooh, your Hudson is fabulous! The colors are yummy, and I love your idea to make the sleeves with thumb holes! I'm forever pulling my sleeves over my hands.

Thumbholes!! What a great idea! I love extra long sleeves on sweaters, but sometimes they get in the way, but thumbholes would totally solve that. Thanks!

I love the modifications - inspired! I've been looking for a hoodie - I'll take another look at Hudson - thanks, Sally

Lov eyour Hudson! The colors are really pretty. I was thinking of the same modifications for the sleeves - did you stop the ribbing at the same point as for the back and front?
