Buttefly finally

I finished Butterfly! Huzzah!

I spent yesterday blocking the sleeves and finishing the collar. The collar sort of curls. Hrm. This is either because (a) I picked up one pattern repeat's worth of stitches less than was called for in the pattern [don't ask me why because I have no good reason], (b) I made the collar one inch longer than called for in the pattern [and I wish I'd made it even longer!], (c) I should have added another knit row to the end of the collar, or (d) I didn't do a very good job blocking the collar.

Otherwise, I love it! I'm okay with the sleeve length. (It looks like the sleeve is covering my left hand, but in fact my fingers are just pointing out of the picture. You can just barely see my thumbnail there.) I wasn't paying attention to my sleeve knitting and realized I made the first one an inch longer than I had been planning but decided longer might be better. That's still THREE inches shorter than the pattern suggests. I do think this sweater is awfully big for an XS. If I was doing it over again, I'd make it even smaller.

I'm very happy with my seaming job on this sweater. Everything worked out well there. Now I just need a hook and eye for the fastener. As far as yarn usage went, this puppy only took 7 1/2 skeins. The collar was a big yarn eater, but I cut out three inches from each sleeve and five inches from the fronts and back.
