Butterfly?

Now that I'm looking at this, there may be problems, which C and I are trying to work out now. My Butterfly seems to be a bit too narrow. Or I'll need to lose some weight before I wear it :)

Here it is so far:

But it's only a little over 16", meaning that the whole thing will be only about 33" ... which isn't big enough. Hmph. Where did I go wrong? Stupid gauge. Maybe I should rip and try those size 9 needles ...

No. Through further discussion, I'm adding more to the front and dealing with new armhole stuff, which I would have to do anyway because my gauge is different than the pattern calls for.

In other words, put off the problem until later, when it's way too late to be willing to rip.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I hate it when that happens! It happens to me all the time even though I swatch and measure, swatch and measure. Good luck!

Hey, I thought of a backup plan. How about you knit it at 33", decide it's too small and warm for you, and then we trade Butterflies? :-) I really like that Lana D'oro. It looks way better in real life because it has all those specks of color. This is going to inspire me to finish the green yoked sweater, except it's so darn warm outside these days.
