My bad penny is all done. At some point, I'll do a little chart to explain how I did this eyelet detail, because I didn't follow the instructions in the pattern. Here's how the eyelets turned out:
I made the sweater in the medium size listed in the pattern, because it's my mom's Christmas present. That's why it's a little large for me. She's just slightly bigger than I am. I hope this will fit. Here's a pic in profile:
If you just can't get enough of my bad penny, here's a picture of it flat and another of it on me from the front.
It's huge on you! You'll have to take a picture of your mom wearing it. You're way ahead of me on the xmas present front. So far I've got yarn for you. That's about it.

If I think of colors that I really like for myself, I might consider knitting it for myself. I actually like the colors from the original pattern, but also didn't want to try and deal with finding that yarn. So we'll see ...
