The finished FUBAR cabled hat:
The blue alpaca/wool sweater which looks a lot lighter than it actually is in the pictures. The notch in the front is where I will steek for the hood. And the second picture shows the seam I made to correct my blunder. It's not lopsided like the picture might suggest. The camera is at an angle. Honest.
