I've been a bad girl

First, I have no pictures to offer. I'm really frustrated with my camera, you see. It's on the verge of breaking, is old and feisty and unreliable. I'm trying the silent treatment with it which is sure to get me nowhere. Someday, I will get a different camera. There are rumors of getting my parents' camera when they move. That would be very nice.

Second, I didn't finish two projects before starting another. But I did manage to get much farther along on my green bag. I'm now most of the way through the second hank (and those hanks are HUGE) which is all balled up. It's 9 inches high so far. I'm aiming for at least 12, and then there's the flap over the front and the strap. I'm worried there won't be enough yarn!! I may have to make the strap out of something else. Or I suppose I could make the front flap with yellow yarn. We'll see.

I have done some good things. I went to my first Chicago Stitch n Bitch which was lots of fun. And you see, the reason I started a new project was because I didn't want to bring any of my current ones to the SnB. So I began a sweater using the blue alpaca/wool I have. It's going to be a plain old raglan with 3/4 sleeves knit seamless in the round using Elizabeth Zimmerman's Knitting Without Tears as reference. I am currently 6 inches into it, or slightly over 10,250 stitches (since I like measuring progress by stitches). Whee. And I'm through the painful three inches of 1x1 ribbing on the body. Whee again.

So yes, I've been a bad girl, but at least I've been knitting. Ah, knitting.

HAHA! yes, I do the stitch count thing, too. "Let's see I've got 20 inches to go, that's 57 rows, at 102 inches per row..." It's very concrete. I love math anyway, so shoot me.
