I finished! I finished!
Okay, so it's my biggest FO yet, so I'm a bit excited. I took a lot of pics in the hopes that some would turn out well, and here's the best two that I have:
So, it turned out a little wider than I might have liked, but the length is good. I still should have probably frogged it and started again with the Valley Cotton, but I do love this color, and it's our very own dyed yarn and everything.
Once again, I'll mention first big FO ever, so I'm trying to be positive! It looks good and I will wear it. Possibly for the talk I have to give in a few weeks.
Next up: I'm doing a little holder for my digital camera with some of the wool that we dyed. It's on 5s, and it's loosely based on the Cricket's Techno Cozy from SnB, but only in that it is, in fact, a techno-cozy, I guess.
On deck: Purse for T, to be named the "Lead Singer", possibly. I would call it "Rock Star", but that seems overused. Must go buy 10.5 circulars.
Well, you know, it's no dance dance revolution, but it gives me something when i feel old and my knees hurt.
Posted by: k at April 16, 2004 5:39 PMMan, you should be so proud of that tank!! If I showed you my first FO, we'd all have a good laugh. Okay, I hope you wear it all summer, cuz it's hot!
Posted by: Laura at April 17, 2004 7:53 AMFirst ever BIG fo, I've finished some scarves and wristwarmers and what not. This is the first thing that had a real sizing to it. But it turned out pretty well ... thanks!
Posted by: k at April 18, 2004 4:44 PMHave I mentioned. . .that your hair is SO LONG? Okay, I don't think I have, lately.
Also, I love the top! I don't know from knitting, but seeing as I've completed two projects with textiles in my entire life (Fisher Price plastic canvas boxtop with ballerina shoes and a cross-stitch fishing bear, thanks for asking), I can only imagine it was quite difficult.
I'm sorry that I didn't call you back, by the way. But I was on the phone, and then it was a Laker game, and then it was just too late.
Wow, I wish they would invent some kind of non-web based communication form, so I wouldn't have to clutter up your blog like this. You know, some sort of electronic, like, mail.
Posted by: PT at April 29, 2004 1:47 AMI am so honored that your first big project was honeymoon. I may be a little biased, but I think it looks great and I love the color! It's so much better than my first FO, let me tell you! Keep up the good work!
