I'm not done with it yet, as you can see, but I'm feeling close. I just have to do the other side and then decide how long the straps should be. For those of you also doing the honeymoon cami, you'll know that I'm doing it slightly out of order. I should already have the straps fully on the side I'm done with, but you know ... I wanted to do it this way for some reason, so I could really see how it was going to hang on me.
Here it is:
Some notes on ways I have changed the pattern: I was somehow misreading the instructions for the left-slanting decrease, and I just couldn't figure out what was meant. So I looked up other instructions for left decreases, and found that the one I like best is pretty similar to the right increase in the pattern. You slip two stitches knitwise, then put the left needle back in through the front of the loops and knit the two together (basically, you're knitting them through the backs of the loops). Let's see ... I also did some weird stuff now when I switched to the second side, because thus far I had a different number of rows on the front and back half so I just knit the back half one row to make it even and I will go on from there!
love the cami! i want to make this pattern, with accomodations for bra straps, lol.
