Embroidered Jacket: 1/20th Mark!

Ok, so I think I'm about 1/20th of the way through the embroidered jacket! That's about 1/17th of the knitting, and then there's all the finishing and embroidering. I think I will sew in a liner too. Woot! This should take a while. Hopefully I'll get faster at it. But really, I'm beginning to realize that I just like knitting, regardless of whether or not these things will turn out well. I feel no regret abandoning the other sweater. But dear god, I do hope this turns out wearable.

So far things look pretty good, but the contrast is not as good as I'd like. I'm hoping embroidering later will bring out the pattern more. Ah well. At least I'm starting to like the wool/alpaca blend yarn more. It feels a bit softer now that I've loosened up a little. The scalloped pattern at the edge just feels a little rough, but the stockinette is nicer.

Hey! I'm making the same jacket! I'll look through your blog a bit more to see how it's turning out, but I would LOVE to know how you did the decreases at the top of the sleeves. The ones where you decrease more than one stitch at a time, but still are working in the round with steeks.

Thanks!
