Random notes

I should pay rent.

Other than that, I want to check out reversible cables, so someday I can make a HUGE blanket with cables on it. I think the idea is to make cables that use a rib pattern instead of knits, and seed stitch instead of purls for contrast. I wish Vogue Knitting had info on it, but of course it doesn't. Gah.

I was wondering what I should do with all my extra random bits of yarn. You know, the stuff you have left over that could make a tiny square but not much more? Well, I'm thinking of making squares with all of them. And then I can knit them all together when I have enough to make a blanket. The colors might be hideous, but I think it could be cool. And that way, I don't have to do the whole project at once.

Added to my list of potential projects:
1) a teddy bear with the fuzzy teddy bear-like yarn I have
2) the only thing I can think of to do with my flourescent fuzzy orange yarn is to make a hat and scarf, so I suppose I will
3) ribbed wrist warmers to match my Noro Silk Garden hat
4) something for my mom's friend's daughter's baby (I'm thinking a cute little blanket--ooh, I could practice reversible cables on it!)

Just over five days to schmoopie!
