Do you know what they mean by "narrow"?

"Narrow" means to knit 2 together.

The increases and decreases don't pair up. There seems to be one more 'narrow' than 'over' in each row. Or am I missing something?

I'm curious too about the increases and decreases not pairing up. Help?!

Sigh. There are problems with this pattern that I haven't figured out yet. I'm going to give it a good lookover later. If anybody else figures it out, please let me know!

Some of the marrows with a slip 1 is two stitches decreased therefore, an additional "over" would be needed. It helps to chart it out.

I am looking for a list of the knitting abbreviations and definitions of terms/meanings in knitting books published from the year 1900-and forward

This is a wonderful shawl, would love if someone is able to see the problem...
