Shadowmarch is drawing to a close. Shadowmarch is Tad Williams' (most famously known for the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series) grand experiment in selling subscriptions for Internet episodic storytelling. The very unique part of the experiment is that there are no constraints on the actual content - just plain HTML that you could save/print/etc. Unfortunately, the financial side of things didn't work out. Although I'm glad the story will go on in deadtree versions, I don't particularly like that I'll have to wait 2/3+ years to find out what happened after the end of Season 1.
