Workout: Free Form
Author: chaos
Actually got a decent amount of sleep last night. Well, not really that decent of an amount, but very decent for being a work night. It was definitely needed, at any rate. I really felt in the mood to sequence my own workout this morning, so that’s what I did. I started out with a very slowed down py:total body sequence, trying to really focus on my breathing. I then moved into a slow sequence involving me trying to stretch out my legs and spine, mostly. A bunch of downward dogs and some standing forward bend. For my more complex poses, I did a triangle, half moon, and a warrior II. I finished it all off with a bit more stretching and a bit more focused breathing. I might have liked to have gone a little longer, but unfortunately time constraints prevented that. Overall, fairly decent, but I hope to keep improving my ability to concentrate, which is still rather suspect.

I have to admit that today’s workout was pretty much done just to have done a workout. There really wasn’t any inspiration to it… just kind of slogging through. I suppose everyone probably has days like that, even Rodney. Anyway, I just tried to have good form and breathe decently, and not concern myself about much else. It did loosen me up, which was definitely a benefit. Lack of sleep was probably a contributing factor to the lack of inspiration, so hopefully I can recover with a reasonable amount of sleep tonight and get a good workout in either tonight or tomorrow morning.
Workout: Abs Conditioning: Yoga

I’ve decided to do yoga MWF, and possibly on the weekends, but to try and commit to MWF. This should work out well this quarter, because of my late classes, leaving the mornings fairly open.
Today I did the abs workout. It went well, things felt good for the most part. I kept up my boat pose for the full time, which I think might be a new thing. One thing I worry about with that pose is that I’m not at the right angle. It seems easier if you lift your shoulders up higher, rather than being down with your back to close to the ground. This means I should probably not be lifting so high, because it’s easier. Not easy. But easier. I find it hard to tell from the video because I can’t really compare myself to Rodney (since I can’t see myself). I’ll keep trying to figure that part out.
Everything else went well with the video, and the plan is going well so far!

I was actually planning on holding off on the abs workout for another day or two, but since I felt really groggy when I woke up this morning, I really wasn’t in the mood for much else. So I went ahead and did this workout. I definitely felt like my abs were a little less tired than they have been at other times in the recent past… presumably due to me actually giving them a few days off. I don’t know that I have any particular insights from the workout, other than that I should get back to evening workouts again. Morning workouts are okay, but I just don’t have the level of awareness to really focus like I need to. Perhaps one day when that level of focus is automatic, morning workouts will be as good as evening ones, but until then, I’m probably best off trying to do evening workouts whenever possible.

I did it! I really didn’t feel like doing yoga this morning after a long day of catering yesterday, but I bit the bullet, because I know that skipping even one day becomes a very slippery slope …
I thought I had done this workout with Chaos when he was out here a year and a half ago, but it doesn’t seem at all familiar now.
So, it went fine. I’m extremely … um, how can I say this … in need of this tape. I am sooooo not flexible. But that’s ok. That’s why I need to keep doing yoga. I continue to get more flexible each day. Downward dog is getting even better as is standing forward bend. I can’t compare the other poses too much because I’ve only done some of them the once, but I’ll know soon enough if they’re getting better.
Workout: Yoga for Strength: session 1

An okay workout today. I’m still feeling tired from the week, but I managed to get up at a somewhat respectable time, anyway. Respectable by my standards, at least. Which doesn’t say much, but that’s okay. I certainly wouldn’t say that any of the workouts really struck me as the one to do, but this one seemed more like what I felt like doing than most, so I just went with it.
I wasn’t terribly happy with my breath work during the vinyasa sequence. I’ve come to realize that I don’t necessarily have to be in perfect timing with the video (well, I realized that a long time ago), but there’s still an instinct to try keeping pace. Which really doesn’t work that well. More importantly, I caught myself doing movements, and then doing the breath associated with them, instead of doing them together. Mostly during jumps, which I admit I have trouble with doing the motion/breath combo, but still. It’s something that I should really be working on.
Well, got a couple of new videos recently, so I might watch them and try getting one of them in later or tomorrow. If not, I’ll probably start sequencing them in next weekend sometime. For now, I’ll try to avoid the instinct to take a nap, and actually keep a somewhat normal schedule, at least until tomorrow.

Workout: Abs Conditioning: Yoga
Author: Your Insatiable One
It’s been about a week since my last abs workout. There’s been a stretch of time where I’ve been trying to take care of job search related items, so yoga sort of fell to the side. Yesterday, I decided to get back on track by doing Total Body; that also happens to be the reason why I did abs yoga today.
Even though I’m fairly comfortable with abs yoga now, it’s a bit of an experience when yesterday was probably the first time in over two months since one has done the Total Body workout. I think the experience could be concisely summed up into “I really feel it”. Although the muscles definitely haven’t recovered from yesterday, but I’ll try to plow through Total Body tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Workout: Cardio Pilates
Author: chaos
Tried out the cardio pilates workout for the second time tonight. The pilates part went pretty well, for the most part… I’m definitely getting better at those motions, overall. This workout does incorporate a few things that aren’t in the abs workout, in particular a side leg lift sort of thing that really stretches the hips. Mine, at any rate. It’ll be a really long time before I can do that like Ana does, if ever. I’m not actually certain my hips are capable of doing that at all. But it will probably improve my hip flexibility, which is all I’m really looking for from it.
The cardio segment went slightly better. Well, in a sense… I definitely felt like I was working harder than I did last time. I don’t think it’s a particularly intensive cardio segment, so just the fact that I even notice it is showing me that my cardio could use some serious help. But then again, I already knew that… which is part of why I got the video. So at least I should be taking the beginning steps towards having cardio fitness in addition to… well, whatever type of fitness I get from yoga. I’m suspecting that I probably won’t manage to get an extra workout in this weekend, and will just go with my normal balanceball abs workout tomorrow afternoon.

Workout: Abs Conditioning: Balanceball
Author: chaos
I had some trouble motivating for this workout today. Mostly due to being tired, and feeling like I could be napping instead. Which I did for a while, but eventually managed to convince myself of the necessity of doing the workout. Which is where the schedule comes in handy… since I plan on doing a workout every day, it’s easier for me to make sure I do. It was especially helped by today being Sunday, so I already knew which workout I was going to do.
The workout itself was kind of tough. I don’t know if I was focusing a little better on the precise movements or what, but I was really working those lower abs. I hope that was it, since I can’t think of any other reasons in particular for my abs to be that fatigued. Well… that’s not entirely true. The cardio pilates does have quite a bit of ab work, now that I think about it, so perhaps that was some of the reason for the fatigue. Anyway. I stuck with the workout, and think that it was a pretty good one overall. Not sure what I’ll do tonight, although I would like to get total body in at some point.

Had a really light workout tonight. It was probably just as well… I was starting to feel a bit worn down. Not so much from the yoga as from other things, but still. It does end up carrying through. I did a better job with my breathing during this workout, I think. I did make an effort to do so, anyway. I really look forward to having slightly more free time, though. I still feel like I’ve been shorting my yoga practice, although I have been better in the last month or so. Hopefully I can actually start advancing again instead of just holding my own. Anyway, I’m going to try and get to sleep so I can start the week off on slightly less of a deficit than usual.

Workout: Yoga Conditioning for Athletes: Mini-workouts
Author: chaos
Tried out one of the new videos that I got last week. I watched most of it last night, and then did a few of the short segments today. I was pretty impressed when I watched through the video… it’s the first one I’ve seen Rodney do with someone else demonstrating modifications. Two other people, in this case. That’s not necessarily so important in and of itself, but he also does a lot of describing why you’re doing the poses that you are, what the potential benefits are, and stressing not pushing beyond your limits. In addition to the main workout, there are six mini-workouts with a specific sport focus. They seem to be around 8 minutes each, and work on things that you’re likely to have problems with from playing the given sport.
For today’s workout, I did the swimming and general sports mini-workouts. The swimming was a few sun salutations, a triangle, and then a wide-angle standing forward bend, ending with a bit of a backbend relaxation. The general one was pretty lightweight, even for that short of a workout. I remember doing another triangle pose, and maybe a side stretch pose (although that may also have been during the swimming one), and some cool down/relaxation poses, mostly. Overall, though, I felt pretty good after doing them, and can possibly incorporate the short workouts into my day more frequently than I might be able to do a full workout.

In a very restless mood tonight. I started off doing this workout with some shoulderstand. That didn’t have quite the effect I was looking for, so I then just started sequencing poses fairly randomly. It wasn’t even really a flow, which I normally stick to pretty closely. I threw in some triangle, tree, warrior II, and even some half moon pose. I wasn’t really focused on the workout, though, so it’s hard to say what the benefit was. I think it relaxed me somewhat, which is probably the primary use. It might have even calmed me down a little mentally, which is also good. Anyway, I’ll probably try to get something a little more structured in tomorrow night. As long as I can overcome the accumulating fatigue, that should go pretty well, I think.

Workout: Abs Conditioning: Pilates
Author: chaos
Tried out the full version of the pilates workout for the first time today. Oof. My abs felt much like they did the first time I did the modified version. Which is to say, they were in pain. At least while I was doing the workout. By the time I got to the double leg lifts, I was already hurting more than I usually do through the entire modified workout. And after that… ouch. At least most of the stuff after that is the same for full and modified versions. Of course, even the stuff I did was somewhat less than perfect, being new and all. But I think I did okay overall, and certainly took my challenge to a new level. I’ll probably start mixing this full version in a little, but probably not all the time for a while yet.

Got in a nice free form workout today. My goal was to stretch out before ultimate. The ultimate game didn’t actually end up happening, unfortunately, so it just ended up being a nice warmup and stretching workout. The only thing I wasn’t really happy about was some of my breathing… for some reason I really wanted to exhale when moving from standing forward bend to mountain. Really, that was the only thing that I didn’t particularly like. Hmmm. Anyway, I seem to have lost focus on this entry, so I’ll just list off the poses I did. Started with regular sun salutation, did triangle, warrior II, tree, side stretch, all mixed in with the sun salutation. Then I moved into stretching a little more, did a wide angle standing forward bend, one legged seated forward bend, seated forward bend, and leg stretches. Finished off with reclined cobbler’s pose and relaxation pose.

After a fairly extensive amount of DDR yesterday, I just wanted to get in a fairly light workout that would stretch out my muscles, and not be terribly strenuous. This seemed like a pretty good choice for those goals, and I think that it was. By the end of the workout I felt that I had managed to get a good stretch throughout my body, and particularly in my legs. Notably, I wasn’t particularly sore from the activity yesterday, just a little bit stiff. I’ll probably go ahead and do my normal Sunday workout tomorrow, balanceball abs. I do have to note that my abs have been feeling a bit used today, most likely from doing the full pilates session on Thursday. Which is probably a good sign overall, but might cause me to delay doing another abs workout for a day or two.

I seem to have acquired a slight bit of a cold in the last day or two. Nothing serious, more of a sniffle than anything else. I’m vaguely wondering if it’s an effect of mental letdown knowing that I don’t have to be on the go quite as much now. Funny how that works. Not that it’s actually all that important, really. More of a side note than anything else.
Today’s workout went okay. It seemed to be a bit better than last week, anyway. I feel like I’ve recovered from my adventure into the full pilates abs workout, and will be ready to take it on again sometime in the future. Although I was noting that it’s actually been a while since I did the yoga abs workout, so I might try to get that in sometime soon as well. Something else that I’ve noted that I’ve been meaning to comment on is how inhalation tends to correspond to an opening action, and exhalation to a closing action. Which is very useful to remember when sequencing workouts. Anyway, I’ll try to get tomorrow’s workout in a little earlier in the day, and eventually I hope to start getting in multiple workouts in the day again.

Despite having my illness increase over the course of the last day, I went ahead and got in another workout. Some argue that it might be wise in this situation to take a day off, but I thought that I might feel better after getting a workout in. And I have to admit that I do feel better. I’m not too certain that it will last very long, but it’s better than nothing, I suppose.
Anyway, the workout itself went fairly well. I was a bit concerned about doing another abs workout today, but it really didn’t seem to be a problem at all. My biggest complaint is that my abs don’t look like Rodney’s. In fact, I seem to be doing something entirely… I wouldn’t say wrong, necessarily, but differently. During certain moves, his abs look flat and toned, and mine look like they’re being pushed out. So perhaps I’m breathing incorrectly in some manner. Definitely something that I’ll be looking into during coming workouts. For now, I’m just going to concentrate on getting healthy, and hopefully be able to get some more challenging workouts in during the coming days.

Man. This illness is really making me tired. I slept for a good portion of the day, and I’m still tired. Of course, I’ve slept rather poorly for most of the time I’ve been sleeping, but still. It seems like I should be at least slightly better rested than I seem to be.
Anyway, went for a few of the mini workouts again today. I do want to try out the full workout, but preferably sometime when I’m much closer to full health. I did the same ones as last time, with the addition of the running mini workout. That was primarily about stretching, particularly the legs, which is good for me. It seemed really short, though… like I just started stretching, and then I was already done. The swimming session was definitely the most tiring, which I completely blame on the illness, since that definitely shouldn’t wear me out. I did like my breathing during the segment, though… perhaps because I didn’t have the extra energy to spare, my breathing had to be better today. Finished off with the all sports workout again… it still feels pretty light, although I liked my stretching in triangle pose. I really liked triangle pose today, actually… felt good about it both times I did it. These mini workouts aren’t bad, but overall they really are just something to do before or after a sport in order to stretch out or cool down, I think. Hopefully I’ll recover from this illness fairly soon, and be able to get into some serious workouts.

Workout: Power Yoga: Strength
Author: chaos
Pushed myself a bit with a strength workout today. Normally, of course, it shouldn’t be a big deal, but with the continuing illness, it proved to be a bit more challenging than normal. Still, the main effect that I felt was my shoulders getting tired from the downward dogs in the middle. Definitely by the end I was breathing a little more heavily than I normally would be, but not excessively so. I think it was probably good for me overall, though we’ll have to wait to see for sure. Probably helps fight the illness to raise the heart rate a bit. Pendulum pose was a notable failure… it wasn’t even close today. Everything else went pretty well, though, so can’t complain much. Anyway, I plan to just keep going with the workouts as long as I can, and since this illness hasn’t stopped me so far, I suspect it’s not going to. I might try kicking back into abs tomorrow, possibly full pilates, but that will depend on how I feel, I imagine.

Workout: Yoga Conditioning for Athletes

Did the full workout for the first time today. And… I feel pretty good. Tired, kind of, but very relaxed. I think I’m even more impressed with this video now that I’ve actually done it. The explanations of what emphasis you’re trying to achieve with the poses is very helpful, in my opinion, as well as the emphasis on not pushing past what you should do. The stretching segments could almost be considered the heart of the workout, but they’re done in such a way that one feels like is getting a good workout in addition to the stretching. I already feel that my understanding has improved just from this one session. I’m uncertain how much of the workout was affected by the lingering illness, though… I think that was causing me to be more tired than I otherwise would normally have been. And I’m not entirely certain why my shoulders are so fatigued… near the end I was having trouble keeping my arms outstretched in warrior II, they were so tired. None of this detracting from what felt like a really good workout, of course. It’s a long one, coming in right around an hour, but not quite as intense as the total body workout. I think I’ll probably be trying to come back to this one quite a bit as I continue to try and progress in my practice.

Workout: Yoga Conditioning for Athletes

I just can’t get enough of this workout. Actually, I’m sure I can, I just haven’t yet. Going back to it tonight was an interesting choice… I was somewhat uncertain because of the fatigue in my shoulders whether I should attempt it again. But in the end I decided to go for it, and I think it worked out pretty well.
One of the things this workout does more than any of the others is emphasize mindfulness. All of them do to some degree… really, it’s part of the whole yoga practice. But this one has more explicit reminders than any of the others, save perhaps yoga for abs. The whole workout is really an exercise in being mindful… being aware of your body, and how the poses are affecting your body, how your body feels while you’re doing them. I woke up from a short nap feeling very unbalanced and scattered, and so I was really looking for a workout that would help me calm my mind and regain balance. I think this one did an excellent job of that overall.
For the physical aspects of the workout, in keeping with the mindful nature of the practice, I tried to be very aware of my limitations, and to be very gentle as I explored their boundaries, trying not to overextend myself. This led to me following some more of the modifications than I might otherwise have done. In particular, I didn’t bring my hands together in many of the poses that involve raising the arms above the head. Today, this was largely because of the fatigue in my shoulders, and I don’t know if I’ll necessarily do those modifications all the time. But just the act of modifying the poses makes me more aware of how they felt modified, and how they normally feel. So I gained more insight into what different poses do, and what my limitations are.
Anyway. I’m somewhat afraid that this workout will start to become old hat after another five or ten repetitions, because that’s largely the way the mind works (mine, at any rate). But hopefully I’ll manage to take a few of the lessons that I’ve learned and continue to use them to grow in my practice.

Workout: Abs Conditioning: Yoga
Author: chaos
Had a pretty good workout today. I decided to really concentrate on having “scooped” abs when I exhaled. I was fairly successful for the most part… it was pretty hard when I was doing the boat poses, but other than that I think it worked pretty well. I’m not entirely certain what the benefits might be (other than looking cool)… perhaps it gives a better workout to the abs? I didn’t really notice that today if it is the case, but I’ve had a good number of days of rest, so I wouldn’t necessarily notice as much as if I had been doing a lot of abs work lately. I’m not sure my relaxing was as strong as it normally is due to my focus on being scooped, but it wasn’t terrible by any means. I think learning better form is probably paramount in this case… I can pick the relaxation stuff back up easily enough once I’ve got the form down. If my focus is a little better, I can probably do both with little difficulty, so it’s not really an issue. The only other note from the workout is that I seemed very well folded in standing forward bend, far more than usual. I don’t know how it relates to my practices of the last few days, but I’m pretty certain it does. Anyway, that’s all for today… I don’t know if I’ll necessarily do balanceball tomorrow, or save it for a little later in the week. I’m guessing the latter, but we’ll see, I suppose.

Workout: Cardio Pilates
Author: chaos
Another cardio pilates workout today. Concentrated on keeping my abs scooped again today. It’s a little bit easier, since Ana constantly reminds you to do so. I still don’t really know what the advantage is, but it does seem to work the lower abs a little bit more. I’m getting a little bit better at the pilates moves overall, I think… they’re coming more naturally. Although I have a bit of trouble with having my feet in pilates stance… they’re too curled. I need to work on having the toes relaxed.
The cardio section went a little bit better, despite being mocked for my marching style. At least I’m not as tired afterwards. I presume this means that my cardio is improving, at least a little bit. I’m also getting better at the side lunges, although that still needs a little bit of work as well. I guess that I’m just very stiff in my movements overall. Something at which I’ll perhaps get better with time and practice. I’ll probably check out a new video tomorrow before it has to be returned to the library, so we’ll see how that goes.

I had a rather nasty headache before doing this workout, so I wasn’t entirely certain how well it was going to go. It went decently enough… my breathing was decent but not exceptional. I was using some of the new techniques I’ve learned from the yoga for athletes practice for downward dog and standing forward bend. The effects are definitely more obvious in the latter, although I think my downward dog is improving a little bit. Unfortunately, while my headache pretty much disappeared during the workout, it has returned at full force, so I think I’ll perhaps lie down for a bit to see if that will help the matter.

Workout: Yoga for Strength: session 1
Author: chaos
An okay session today. I’ve felt a little bit out of it for the past couple of days… out of the workouts, I mean. I’m really not entirely certain why. I suppose yesterday I had the headache, and today I was just feeling a little off. Nothing that I really notice at all during the workout, and yet, probably playing a small part in reducing my concentration on the workout. Not that I need any help. So, I certainly wouldn’t say it was a bad workout, just not very inspiring. Shoulderstand was definitely the highlight of the workout… I held it for an additional minute or two. It’s supposed to be a relaxation pose, and I have to say that it does feel pretty good. I’m not quite certain what it is about it, but there’s definitely something. Anyway. Hopefully I’ll have a little more energy or whatever tomorrow, and get a good session in.

Well, I was somewhat hoping to get a more challenging workout in tonight, but my workout partner really wasn’t up for anything challenging, so this is what we ended up doing. It was a nice light little workout, nothing challenging, just a bit of a warm up and stretch. My legs did seem a touch stiff today, I’m not quite certain why. Not terribly so, just a little bit more than I might have expected. I’m still feeling somewhat out of sync, although perhaps a little bit less so today. Which is kind of funny, since my schedule has been more out of sync today. Oh well. I’m going to make a concerted effort to get at least one good workout in tomorrow, so we’ll see how that goes.

Workout: Yoga Conditioning for Athletes: Mini-workouts
Author: chaos
I continued examining the contents of the dvd today with some more exploration of the mini-workouts section. Today I did golf, cycling, swimming, and finished with the all sports workout. Both the golf and cycling workouts involved a lot of twisting and opening poses. Since I don’t do either of those sports on a regular basis, it’s difficult for me to say how effective they are at realigning a body that’s been torqued by those activities. For myself, I think they just do a nice job of opening up my lower back and hips. I noticed during the swimming mini-workout that I was able to really turn my hips further than normal, and look straight up at my hand, particularly with triangle to the left. I think that’s something that’s been generally occurring, and perhaps just enhanced by stretching out before getting to triangle, since triangle is usually an early pose in most of the workouts I’ve done. The all sports workout still feels pretty light, but in this context I think it makes a good cooling workout after getting a few of the others in, especially swimming. Next time I get back to the mini workouts, I’ll probably check out tennis, and then I’ll have done all of them at least once. Swimming and all sports are probably my favorites thus far, but that makes sense, since they’re the most general of the workouts. Anyway, a fairly good workout today, and hopefully another good one tomorrow.

Workout: Abs Conditioning: Pilates
Author: chaos
I did the full workout for the second time today. It already felt significantly easier than last time… most likely a combination of being more familiar with the workout and having a fairly long break since the last abs workout. The absence hasn’t really been intentional, although I don’t particularly object. Until I get to the point where I’m once again doing multiple workouts in a day, I think my abs are ready to take the backseat for a while.
I definitely feel like I’m doing better with the rockers now… they’re still not perfect, but my form feels better. Although grabbing my toes in the closed leg rocker proved a bit of a challenge, as I tried to maintain back length and V shape while holding the toes. Something I’ll have to work on a bit more. The series of five was still quite painful by the end… I know I’m not getting the full benefit of the last exercise because I’m so worn down from the previous ones. Still, that’s how it originally was with the modified version as well, so it’s just something that I need to keep at until I get better, I think. My recovery time was definitely decent today, although that’s probably more a factor of the extended rest than increased strength. Although I did notice the corkscrew being a little more tiring than usual. Anyway, it was a pretty good workout overall, and gives me more confidence to just continue doing the full workout instead of the modified version.

Today’s workout was a bit of a disappointment. I suppose I shouldn’t really be surprised, since it’s been a very long time since I’ve done this workout. The thing was that I wasn’t really so much tired as just kind of not in tune with the workout. And I really don’t know why. Whatever the case, I decided to just go ahead and skip from the first section to the last. I probably could have muddled my way through all of it, but it just seemed kind of wrong to do so. I don’t know. I’ve been feeling somewhat out of sorts for the last couple of days, and that’s probably had quite a bit of effect on the matter. Blah. Well, anyway, I’ll probably go for the balanceball abs workout tomorrow, since I skipped it last week.

Workout: Abs Conditioning: Balanceball
Author: chaos
Back to the balanceball workout today. I think that I’ve been doing the part near the beginning wrong, and my ribcage has been lifted off of the floor. I’m not entirely certain, because there is supposed to be a small curve in the back when you’re lying there. But I think perhaps I’ve been neglecting to put my ribcage down as much as I could. It’s somewhat difficult to say for sure. But I did attempt to really keep my back on the floor today, and it seemed a little bit more difficult to do things that way. Or at least, it seemed to take a little more abdominal effort, which is the objective in this case. I tried to focus on keeping the abs scooped again today. I was also noticing the similarities between some of the movements and pilates movements. Which is probably good in a way… once I’ve recognized the similarities, I can hopefully use those exercises to learn more about how I’m using my muscles, and improve upon it. Anyway, I’ll be switching back into late night or early morning workouts here for the next week, and possibly a little longer depending on how things go. So I’ll probably get another workout in tonight before I go to sleep. Until then…

Workout: Yoga for Strength: session 1
Author: chaos
Had a reasonably satisfying workout tonight. I certainly wouldn’t say it was the best of my workouts, but it was by no means the worst, either. I wasn’t really fully connected to my body throughout the workout, which was rather unfortunate. But I managed to focus enough that my breathing was in line with my movements, and had a fairly tight integration, so that was good. One of the annoyances of the workout was that the DVD decided to crash in the middle of the workout. So that kind of threw me a bit more out of sync. I eventually managed to restart the machine and get back to where I was, and continued the workout. Then right after the shoulderstand sequence it crashed again, but I just finished the workout from memory, since it was pretty close to the end anyway. So that detracted a little from the workout. On the plus side, shoulderstand went really well again. Even the two minute downward dog went a little better, although I’m not certain that I wasn’t sacrificing some form to do it. Something to determine on future workouts, I suppose. Not really sure what I’ll do tomorrow… it might depend on if I convince mlee to do the workout with me or not. I wasn’t successful tonight, but maybe tomorrow. Anyway, until then…
