alright, i'm back home. drove up to chicago for band practice yesterday and checked out steve's new crib (pretty sweet). also got to see a certain hobbit film a second time (excellent dvd transfer i might add), which reminded me how damn good it was
so let's see... i need to set up a good web site for the band to keep tabs on practice recordings of each of our songs. i also need to put up newer versions of the songs for "(semi-)public consumption" ;)... also i need to update my bridge page (just picked up another .80 at the club yesterday!) and make a small page for the illini regional that happened late last month (the final word on my masterpoint take came in at 3.05)... also i need to look into enrolling into grad classes for summer (might be too late)... and i need to thump around and see what job opportunities are available
i have some other things to write about, but i just wanted to get some of this stuff down. i've been swamped trying to remember too many things lately, so i suspect this will be at least mildly beneficial. of course, the fact that i'm still awake at this ungodly hour probably isn't...
i think someone is out $1, but i don't know who. i'll let them figure it out =)
p.s. if you think this all-lowercase style is annoying/detracting, go ahead and let me know. i'm already thinking that this is not a great format for that style and am considering switching
Posted by mlee at June 15, 2002 5:26 AMMike,
I spent SIX HOURS with Mike Kim and Brian Grunkenmeyer last night. It was really fun - and the moral of this story is, if you come out here to visit, YOU TOO can hang out all night at Starbucks making Yoda faces and fighting the hiccups. Doesn't that sound nice?
P.S. I'm glad he's out a dollar. I didn't want to wait that long.
Posted by: Alicia at June 15, 2002 5:05 PMIt's spelled "Grunkemeyer".
Posted by: Brian at June 15, 2002 7:21 PMActually, I don't think Jet's out of the dollar just yet -- I believe he was betting on the post date of the third entry.
Posted by: yukino at June 15, 2002 7:35 PMIs it really? Crap. I've been spelling your name wrong for nine years.
I feel like such a fool. :(
Posted by: Alicia at June 17, 2002 12:29 PMHeehee. Don't feel too bad about it Alicia... I spawned a whole string of nicknames for Klar (aka Brian) starting with that very same mistake! I proxy-asked if he minded if I called him "Ken" before Mike derided me with a "That doesn't even make sense" comment =). At least I wasn't the only dumb one. Thanks sweetie ;).
Posted by: mlee at June 18, 2002 6:59 AMHey, no problem. It's comforting to know that I'm not the /only/ one who's made that mistake. I mean, when we were at IMSA, I just called him Grunk. That took care of it!
