My BFF is visiting, and we've been having lots of fun. Here she is striking poses that are clearly influenced by Kirsten.
Why is she so happy? Take a closer look at her feet!
Here they are sans shoes.
The heel shot.
It's a simple cable and rib pattern, and in further celebration of Socktoberfest, I put up the pattern here.
What great shots!! The backdrop is wonderful!!
The pattern is really great too! I love a good rib & cable sock!
Posted by: Leah at October 7, 2006 6:03 AMCookie: These are perfect for yarn I bought yesterday at THE FOLD. Thanks for tip. . .I loved it--no background music, great yarn and a sweet doggie to greet me.
Posted by: Sarah at October 7, 2006 7:10 AMThanks for writing this pattern down, and taking those wonderfull pic's!

Posted by: carole at October 7, 2006 8:13 AMThese socks are so pretty! I'm casting on for them right now.
Posted by: Julie at October 7, 2006 10:17 AMLooks like a great pattern but there seems to be a type in the rib section, you have 2x2 rib as [k2, p1]. Pattern written while Soctoberfect drinking perhaps? LOL
Posted by: Fibersnob at October 7, 2006 3:26 PMLove, love, love the sock. Thank you so much for sharing the pattern!
Posted by: Peggy at October 7, 2006 3:57 PMThose socks are awesome, and the photos look like you were having a lot of fun. Thanks for the pattern for them. Could you let me know what yarn you used?
Posted by: Leslie at October 7, 2006 4:49 PMLove the photos of you and your newly-made socks. You both look so happy together! Now I need to try that pattern out...

All hand-knit socks should be received with such joyful abandon! :)
Posted by: Abigail at October 7, 2006 9:02 PMNew socks and they're named after her? A perfect reaction :)
Posted by: Aija at October 8, 2006 5:45 AMThese are a sweet gift! Thanks for sharing the pattern, it's fantastic.
Posted by: Juls at October 8, 2006 12:11 PMReally cool socks and I wish everyone had a friend who knows to enjoy handknitted socks this much :-)
By the way, I love the colors. They do resemble my national colors - black, red, gold - but not in the obtrusive Regia-nation-color-way but a really cute, stylish way. Lovely!
Posted by: Sooza aka. Susan at October 9, 2006 1:16 AMYour BFF is so cute! Those photos are so festive! No wonder she is so happy, the socks are perfect, and they look great with her shoes!
Posted by: Kirsten at October 9, 2006 4:41 PMShe's not just dancing because of her fabby socks, but because her fabby friend made them special for her. How cool.
