This actually happened before the trip to The Fold, but I didn't get a chance to post about it, so here goes. I got to see Jamie while I was in Chicago, and she gave me a sewing lesson.
Here she is at her spinning wheel.
What's she doing? Plying 2 skeins of Manos for me.
Look at how pretty that is.
Her roommate has a cat:
My brother also has a cat. She is my cat's sister, so not only did I visit my family, I visited her's too.
Isn't she cute?
And after the trip to The Fold, we made a nice little trip to Portillo's.
Those of you not from Chicagoland and unfamiliar with the glorious Italian Beef sandwich won't understand the compulsion to eat beef soaked in grease, but let me tell you: It is Good. I'm making myself hungry just looking at the picture.
Ok, we're off to Yosemite! Schmoop and I will be attempting to hike Half Dome.
i would absolutely 100% eat beef soaked in grease if it looked like that. yum.
Posted by: al at September 30, 2006 4:58 PMHope you had fun hiking Half Dome. My boyfriend's family did the hike, from granny to grankiddy (except for him 'cause he was at work) and they seemed to enjoy it.
Post pictures!
