This is another of the lot of foreign lace knitting books I bought that were mislabeled as crochet. I have Albums No. 1-4, but I'll do a review of each one individually. These books are French, and I saw Albums 1-8 selling on Ebay a while back, so there were at least 8 issues printed. The price on each is "Fr. 2,50" but these are stickers, not printed prices. At the bottom of the front is printed "Editions V. Ritzenhaler" and then there is a sticker with "Agents exclusifs pour la Suisse: Weltmode A.-G., Uraniastr. 14, Zurich". I assume that is for sale in Switzerland.
Album No. 1 has 25 pages of patterns. The charts are not separate but are printed on the pages. There are 32 patterns in all:

Napperon means doily, Ovale means oval, Tapis means tablecloth. Etc. The strange thing about these charts is that the French seem to have reversed everything. For starters, 'O' means knit and '|' means yarn over! It took some getting used to when I knit the Mimose doily. While the patterns are certainly pretty, they are not as unique as the patterns in Kunstbreien 39.
