Xmas knitting, etc

I finished the scarf for the future stepmother-in-law. It's 100% angora and feels positively luscious.

I also knit a scarf for the future mother-in-law that is a much simpler drop stitch scarf using Stacy Charles Rondo, a very pretty ribbon yarn. I would have chosen the angora scarf for her, but it's not her color as much, and she lives in BC, so she doesn't need real warmth. Surprisingly, these scarves cost about the same amount of money in materials to make.

Okay, ends still need to be woven in. I'll get to that later.

Today I went and hung out with my friend Jamie. She's very crafty and took me to the bead store where she showed me how to make stitch markers right in the store. It was awesome, and I'm really really really happy with them. I must take K when she's in Chicago next month!!!

Also, I got mail today! A package of cashmere yarn I ordered from China that I'm going to use for my wedding stole. It's soooooo soft. I'm very excited!!!!

Also, Jamie and I made a trade. I got her extra copy of The History of Knitting in exchange for some angora yarn and cash.

Your cashmere yarn looks just simply beautiful! I'm sure it's going to turn out a very beautiful stole. May I ask where you order the yarn from?
