dyeing... hair

Yesterday was a mess. First, any excitement I had about my art history class is now gone. It was boring. BORING. And I've seen all three movies we're going to view already. I'm sad there's no silent film. Oh well. Then, in all my planning, I forgot to include lunch. Whoops. So I didn't make it over to knit with Monica and Lynette yesterday. Again, sad.

What I did manage to get done was.... hair color!

These pictures suck, but basically the bottom around my hair is darker red, then there's a ring of bright red and then a star of dark red at the center of my head. I thought the dark red would be almost black, but it's not. Still, pretty cool. And only 4.5 hours of which I could only spend 20 minutes knitting!

So... I've barely made any progress on the Aran Sweater. BUT, I've started a secret project. It's a last-minute-attempt-at-a-Knitty-submission. They're due on October 15th. So yeah, I'm using larger yarn than normal. Well, 18 stitches per inch. We'll see how this goes.

Oh, and look at this! A knit vibrator cozy.

The cut and color look really cool. I like the kinds of reds they picked out ...

Red rocks. I'm thinking of doing some color with my hair later this month, like maybe platinum blonde with dark red streaks! Then again, maybe not. And you go with the knitty submission. I totally want to design a pattern for publication. But finding the time is impossible.
